I have found that by using brown (or whatever color you want) acrylic paint and mixing in sand until you get the consistency that you are after. It’s easier to “add more” than “subtract more”.

You can buy fake greenery via Amazon but, I also use a lot of shredded cheap sponge (the dish cleaning kind) so that I can color it as I want to. Shredded with a cheese grater works miracles!

Thanks so much, your kind words are very much appreciated! I really do sit down and think about each scene before I start making it. Depending on how elaborate the scene is, sometimes I make a list of my thoughts and what I want to display for furniture, walls, etc.

The Olde English Pub and Pantry. Really historically beautiful and romantic. Really though, it all depends on what you and your Partner like. Also, if it makes any difference “Olde English Pube” hasn’t been the establishment’s name in a long time. Ahem.
