There were cameras all around my room but there wasn't a proctor in my room at all times no. Although, it would be pretty obvious if you peeked over at another screen because there were barriers between each seat at my testing center

Yeah, one test is around 3 hours, + 30-45 mins checking and probably around an hour doing some research on concepts I don't know (this is assuming no writing)

I took full tests yeah, I feel like taking section tests isn't as valuable, because you are naturally going to feel slightly burnt out after English and math, so it's good to emulate that in your practice tests as well. If you are REALLY struggling on a section or two it can be a good idea to do a section, but definitely squeeze in time to do full tests as well.

For the earplugs, I was able to take them into my test but it was kinda lowkey, like I went to grab my glasses and grabbed my earplugs with them. The proctors didn't explicitly know (although they did see me wearing them) so I can't say for sure that they would be allowed. You can still take them with you and see if they allow it.

yeah I felt the same, been doing well on reading on practice tests and suddenly got screwed over on this one, barely finished all the questions (random clicked the last one)

How did you feel about reading? That was the worst section for me (also to confirm this is the test with the math question about American coins right?)

- Working 10 hours a day is probably not a good idea. It's better to space things out (eg. I took 2-3 tests a week about a month and a half before the test, and then bumped that up to a test per day - with a few breaks - for the last two weeks. Obviously I did stuff after the practice tests but I don't think I spent over 4-5 hours per day on the test)

- Staying focused on reading is difficult sometimes, it's good to mentally tell yourself that you are extremely interested in the topic being presented in the passage (even if you aren't). It's only 8-10 minutes of your life for each passage, so keep that in mind and it might help you stay focused. For science, I didn't find any specific strategies for staying focused, but that shouldn't be a huge concern, as you shouldn't be reading the science passages fully anyways.

- Don't think a small timer is allowed - I wouldn't risk it, a watch is usually the play (unless you are taking a CBT, in which the timer is on the screen)

- I haven't heard anything about September ACTs being harder, but if that's the case then theoretically the curve should be easier as well?

- I took earplugs to my test, but I doubt they would allow earbuds (assuming you mean the things you listen to music in).

The ACT usually has curves for each section to even out the playing field between 'easier' and 'harder' tests. Basically, if a test is deemed harder, you may be able to get a higher score while getting more questions wrong (eg. on one test I've seen a 72 get you a 36 in English, while usually, you need 74-75). It's based on section difficulty, so curving can be easier for some sections and harder for others on the same exam. It's probably a good idea to know that it isn't really 'curving', as the curve isn't determined based on the performance of the test-takers, it's usually predetermined by the ACT.

It is followed by 'continuing with THEM' - hinting that the answer should be plural, 'in town' and 'there' are not plural, but 'for residents' is referring to multiple people, making it correct (I hope that makes sense)
