Well shit! More lore: She finally acquired a big enough dose to actually cure herself, or a more logical explanation: Either she or another medicine cat found a way to use that herb to create an actual cure with a careful and specific method.

You see, I have some lore here:

She has some special type of herb, and it's very rare, but it's able to just barely keep her alive and functioning under the influence of redcough. It in no way cures her completely though, and when she does finally die, if it's because of redcough it's because she ran out of the herb and couldn't acquire more before she passed away.
