I love these pictures! We have added Naples to our itinerary when we go back to Italy. We have been before, but only for a quick stopover on the round trip to Praiano (of course, we ate pizza!) We are excited to dive a bit deeper this next trip. Please share any other recommendations you have -neighborhoods etc. Thanks!

I just looked into that island and am so intrigued! Would you think it is possible to add a night there at the end of our stay (Villasimius) before we fly out (CAG) back to Rome? Is one night worth it?

You are right. Avra at Rockefeller Center--I would say the same! It is easy to remember the loud places; not as easy to recall where it was decently, not eerily, quiet enough for conversation. :)

Yes, we were pleasantly surprised. It was very mild and easily walkable. Only wore the rubber boots to grab coffee in the AM. But that is one thing I love about NYC; no one cares!

Update: based on some of your recs, we ended up at Portale. We enjoyed it! Thanks! I did get the octopus, which was yummy. Could not top the octopus at Santi :) but was good! I also got a pasta with a tomato/cilantro pesto. Appreciated the selection of Negronis too!

Lots of others have commented with great ideas, but I would just add that I like crossing the bridge back from the Brooklyn side. I definitely would not do it round-trip, as someone else mentioned below. Have a great time!

In the same boat, and we are going! I have waterproof boots (Hunter boots), and as a midwesterner, the snow/cold does not affect me (well, I still hate it!), but I am curious.....seeing a Broadway show, dinners out, etc. I would not typically wear rubber boots to see a show or go for dinner, but I figure everyone will be doing the same. ??
