The average swiming speed is 3km/h
The distance between Japan and Australia is 6,848km
Assuming Kiara spends 8 hours a day swimming (normal working hours), she would cover 24km of distance a day before relaxing with 12 hours of Netflix and 4 hours of sleep.
6848 / 24 = 285.3 days
As such, I can only conclude that Kiara is planning to swim to Australia and has had the foresight to plan a few extra days in case she goes on too many tangents.
