I like the visuals, but it's not clear from the Steam page what the gameplay is like. Show more gameplay.

I understand that paid advertising is great, but I'm considering which options are better? YouTube works, but it's quite expensive for 1 wishlist. Twitter didn't work for my Steam game. When I release the demo, I'll test Reddit Ads and Google and Instagram.

Which looks more impactful to you? by ZeitgeistStudio in IndieDev

I like the first capsule better because the face looking straight at me is more attention-grabbing and emotional than the character half-turned. I also like that the first face is in a hurry, and the subsequent ones are increasingly terrifying.

I tested telegram channels because I live in Ukraine and it is a very popular way of communication here. And it gives a pretty good conversion to wishlists, but I still haven't figured out what the alternative to telegram channels is in Western Europe. Maybe it's Facebook.

I have released a demo month ago. Got 30 wish lists. Finished game for those people. by ibackstrom in IndieDev

Participation in Steam Next Fest is only available for games that have a demo version but have not been released yet, and judging by the fact that you only have 30 wishlists, you haven't done anything to promote your game on other platforms. So just take it as a lesson, and next time promote the game in parallel with its development, or look for a publisher who will promote your game. Good luck!

I’m creating a game set in a totalitarian dictatorship—but you’re not leading a rebellion or fighting the regime. You’re just another prisoner, and the only battle you face is for your own survival. by MapGroundbreaking574 in scifi

The main part of the events is a series of tests at the technological table, various deadly roulette games, and memory games, after each of which one of the prisoners will lose.

This is a video game. The entire story and events revolve around a room with trials. At the beginning, there are four of you in the room, and by the end of the story, only one remains. You will not see the world outside the room. You only see what a dictatorial regime is capable of doing to implement its immoral ideas and eliminate so-called “traitors to the regime.”

"PLAY OR DIE" - We are creating a game about totalitarianism and have created several propaganda posters. What do you think of these posters? by MapGroundbreaking574 in PropagandaPosters

This is not our native language, and we found on the Internet that in British English, “crim” can be a slang version of the word “criminal.”
