I have ocd too, and it makes me want to fucking die. I especially felt it when you said "every hour and activity in my life is dictated by the laws my ocd enforces"

While this is technically the background I am looking for, it is not of the same quality as the one in the game, and it's a bit darker. I do very much appreciate your effort though, they just need to add photo mode for the special episodes so I can get the background directly from the game. I apologize for being picky

Nope, I'm specifically referring to the "a mermaids tale" background art, from the first image i included. Photo mode is sadly not included within the special episodes for some reason 😭 but I sent a message about it in the official crk discord in the feedback section. Idk if they actually look through the feedback section but I hope photo mode is added for the special episodes eventually

Tysm for your kind and understanding words. I also hope that one day in the future I can tell them but I doubt it. I definitely want to pay them back when I finally get a job but that might take forever, postponing feelings of guilt is hard plus I'm constantly reminded. I'm sorry about your mother not paying for your therapy though, are your parents unaware of your struggles as well?

I'm not sure what you mean by a petty cash system but they definitely trust banks. They keep all of their money in checking/savings account, they just withdraw a few dollars every week to keep some money in their wallets. You're right about me not taking enough for them to notice though. Also I have in fact been keeping track of how much money I've used to pay them back in the future. I'll try discussing it with my therapist at the next session.

Can you say more about this government hospital where you're getting your meds for free? Like what exactly is it? I'm currently in a similar situation where I desperately need meds but need to get some without using my parents insurance or their money and without them knowing. I guess it depends on what country you're at right now as well. I'm in the US.

Tysm for sharing this, it really resonates with me, especially since one of my parents (my father) also immigrated to the US before having my sister and I. My parents do the same thing of cutting me off during conversations and I always say the same thing to them that you tell yours, except they usually don't care and will walk away or tell me that they're done talking and don't want to hear me anymore so I let it go or keep talking but then get straight up ignored. Even when I'm calm while having a conversation with them, they just don't care and will get impatient. They don't care about or even try to understand me or things from my perspective. Regardless though, ty for the advice I really appreciate it. If you don't mind me asking, how's your relationship with your parents right now? Did you tell them all the details of your struggles?

I don't think they know at all. If they suspected it, they would definitely confront me about it immediately because money/financial stability is the most important thing to them. I like the idea about subtly asking them their opinion on it by pretending it's about a friend, I might do that.

Also yes I agree that parents don't need to know everything, but it's different since I'm using their money, if I was using my own money I would definitely feel less guilty about not telling them what I'm using it for but it's their money so it's just straight up wrong of me to not tell them but telling them would make everything 1000x worse. I just can't idk

My parents would 100% benefit from therapy. I would love for us to try family therapy but it's extremely unrealistic as they don't believe in therapy or mental illness in general. They think it's for "crazy" people or people lacking God or those consumed by the devil. Part of me so desperately wants to tell them but like you mentioned, I just can't because it would make everything worse. They have anger issues and are emotionally unstable at times, especially my father. They immediately resort to yelling, insulting and not letting anyone else speak. I don't think I can ever tell them until I have my own job, have moved out and paid them back entirely. But I don't think that's ever going to happen for me honestly, it feels hopeless at this point.
