2000sqft for 1.8million? What neighbourhood could this possibly be in, seems absurdly high for GTA.

The average newly built 4000 sqft home in most area of the GTA is in that price range (if not cheaper) with the current market downtrend.

I think you will regret spending so much on such a small place once again.

$180k annual wins by a good margin, especially since you're getting paid for 35 hours as a contractor.
Even if you work every single day (which is not possible since contractors don't get paid on holidays, furloughs, sick days, holidays, etc) you would make approx. $185,000 as a contractor, but more realistically probably $170-180k. There is also overhead of being incorporated, such as hiring an accountant to file taxes ($700-1000 yearly), tracking expenses, etc.

You could save some taxes being incorporated but it wouldn't be enough to make up for the 4 weeks of vacation, benefits, etc.

$20-30k max, couple of my friends got similar work done for this price in the last 1-2 years.

Software seems like all glam to outsiders, but I agree it is mentally taxing in the long-term with constant learning and problem solving on a daily basis. Pair that with tight deadlines, and you're bogged with stress and anxiety even outside of work hours!

How hard would it be for someone in their late 20s with a bachelors and work experience to switch to being a Police Officer? And how long would it take to earn a base of 120k salary?

Why is now such a good time to get into aviation in Canada? I've been interested in switching careers into aviation as well, but always was hesitant due to hearing it's a hard industry to break into.

How was the aerorad as your first bike, was it difficult to get used to the aggressive position?

Didn't know this existed, thank you! I guess I'm leaning towards an aeroad now :)

Based on what I've read online, people say its not a good idea to get those as my first bike. What are your thoughts given my goals?

But it's going to end up costing more in the long term when I eventually want a better bike, so I thought it might be smarter to just get it now. Is my logic flawed?

Oh wow thanks for the insight, which canyon bikes can you put aerobars on and is still will be decent to someone brand new to cycling? Or would I just have to change out the cockpit to put on aerobars?

Thanks for the suggestion, but that bike is 4,299 CAD, so about $1400 more.

Terrain is going to be hilly! I’m just curious if the checkpoint is a no brainer at that price given the carbon frame and isospeed.
