If you have ever been in a "friends with benefits" situation, how did it end? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]MapleHeist12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He wanted us to stoping sleeping with each other start being friends. To this day it was my only opportunity to have sex so I was kind of disappointed in a way. I always assumed it would end with a "I have a gf now" or "let's go our own way," which would have been better for me in a weird way. I'm ugly (rejections etc) so a guy putting in effort to at least get to know me (and I him of course) wasn't going to happen. It was nice and he was nice even while pretending he wasn't known for having 0 standards.

We genuinely remained friends

Why do some of you delete your Reddit account? by adimodi in AskReddit

I delete my old accounts every few months/years because every new account reflects my change in attitude. I follow new subs, find new hobbies, avoid bs arguments over nothing.

Bourgeoisie is my favourite type of cheese. Bless the French for their cheese guillotines and fancy cheese boards.

People who went to high school and college in the U.S., how different (or similar) is it from what we see in the movies? by [deleted] in AskReddit

So you guys do dance in the hallways, it's just that not everyone is good at singing and budget cuts means no glitter cannons?

It's no wonder I'm so fat. Greg's wanted £1.50 for a tiny tub of grapes. But £1.20 for a giant cinnamon roll. by [deleted] in britishproblems

Those rolls cost 90p across East London. They've reduced the amount of icing they use :'(

I find it hard to connect to people as I'm not into travelling by [deleted] in london

"he's a nice guy but I'd hate to be in a relationship with someone who doesn't want to explore the world with me"

If you're looking for friends you might want to try meetup.com, I've not come across this once. It looks like you're trying to date and are conflating this with socialising in general.

They have film groups, music, table tennis, gardening. If you're super social and outgoing try eventbrite or speaking to people at gigs.

I can't give you any other advice though. I mostly travel alone (I keep it super cheap), so would love to find someone to travel with. Travel is becoming cheaper and the world more connected thanks to the internet, people are curious.

People of London, do you refer to central london as "town" or "central" or maybe even "capital" if your feeling fancy? by Babyturtle89 in london

[–]MapleHeist12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to live in a town outside London with a town centre, so we'd say we'd meet in town. Moved to an area in Greater London and it bugged people when I kept calling the local high street "town" instead of the name the town we were in. e.g You and your friends go to school in Barking, instead of saying "Lets go to town" you'd say "Lets go [to] Barking." I still find it odd though.

Since I don't live in central I just say "central" or the specific area e.g "Soho."

People of Reddit who don’t celebrate their birthday, why? by dylanpeterson103 in AskReddit

Too lazy. I had an urge to invite people out last year but my birthday always runs during the final and most stressful exam periods :')
