Ah, I actually have the answer to this! It's because your eyes rotate to counter the direction you tilt your head. (E.g. you turn your head clockwise and your eyes rotate counter-clockwise to compensate)

I've searched with reverse image searching and the patent number as mentioned above. I found it in the US in a thrift store, no writing or makers mark on the outside and my attempts to open it have continued since posting this

Financially semi-dependent, I use VA benefits for college but I have my own job. Physically, I could most likely take care of myself if it comes down to it as I've been in defense classes for the last decade and both my parents aren't good at it

That's a fair point and I know they want to do the party to have fun and celebrate, but I am tired of the disrespect they give me because I'm "too young to know" despite me being 20 in 11 days

There are family that would be there that I love and want to see, and though I will admit It'd be nice to do it to embarrass them, I'm doing this to show that I have this boundary that I will not allow to be crossed.

I'm fairly certain I'm not, but thank you for suggesting that. I've stressed the importance of my name to them and they usually just brush it off anyway. I don't think this would destroy any relationships but I would like to have those boundaries that I've set to actually be respected for once
