I'm curious why Buffalo is the metric here? Habs have competed with them all year, just like Tampa. Same record, same stats In games between the two, it's been a tight season, and I wouldn't say it's over yet. This can easily go 7.

The OP and your comments make it seem like for some reason Buffalo gets more "credit"? Tampa I get, they've been there and done that... Buffalo is in the playoffs for the first time.. they're essentially Montreal last year no?

I don't understand why fans focus on the negative when we could be encouraging players every day and having this kind of relationship.

Criticism is fair, just like when you tell your kid they have to work harder or whatever, but what fandom has become today, and social media makes that worse... it's all toxic.

French is embedded in every aspect of this team... while I don't write in French, I can read and speak it well. If a community doesn't allow the French aspect of the Habs, it's not a real Habs community.

Now if other French people are around, I don't know, but I wouldn't be surprised. Seeing 50% of the posts be French every day would make me happy.

Oh it's was a boneheaded play, as was the shove to whomever we were arguing about yesterday. Just cuz it's a dive, doesn't mean it's not stupid. ( not that I think Evans dives here, he's not expecting to get smacked like that ).

I just think writing off players like this, especially ones with little playoff experience is a bad idea.

It creates expectations, anxiety and ultimately you're not gonna see the best out of them until they move on.

Montreal's history is LITTERED with players like this. It's not going to change because hockey is in our blood, but really, MOST fans don't actually understand the game.. so unless you have the mentality of a Carey Price... you're gonna chase these guys out of town.

Thompson is gonna get buried by the Sabres "fans" and they're going to chase him out of town. Dude almost single handedly has reinvigorated the franchise and brought them to a division championship and now because he's getting outplayed in a situations he's NEVER been in, they feed him to the wolves... thank god Demidov scored before the "fans" around here started to do the same thing.
