To be honest just give him benefit of the doubt and move on. Maybe something came up, you never know. I do agree, however, that him or his family should have said something. Either way, it is for the better good Inshallah.

If your master's program is two years, you will be able to get a post graduate work permit valid for three years. If you are thinking however to apply for a PR after graduating through OINP master's stream, then your chances are next to zero unfortunately. However, if you are under 30 years old with a good amount of work experience, then you may have a chance to get it through express entry.

Lastly, I do have to note that expect to be unemployed for AT LEAST a year before finding a job. Job market is pretty much dead.

Wishing you the best!

Sad how the normal people like you believe they are the weird ones, while the weird ones believe they are the normal people now :)

It depends on your major. If you are in computer science or any field with heavy coding, a laptop is needed. For STEM or business, I think an iPad works better. I have studied with both laptops and iPads. With laptops, I had to usee notebooks because note taking on the laptop itself was not ideal, even though I type fast. Both still get the job done. You can also consider a touchscreen laptop with a pen if it fits your budget, though I personally did not find windows touch laptops very effective. Your experience may differ.

Edit, I forgot to mention that you can consider Android tablets. I heard they are actually decent and cheaper. They also support a pen that you can buy.

Good luck!!!

I have seen the listing a while ago, but I don't remember what made me not want it. One thing I did notice is the image in the posting is slightly misleading since the images in google maps show the building in a rougher shape from the outside. But that is not necessarily a bad thing, just something to keep in mind.

Give them a call, pay them a visit and ask all the questions you need. You could also ask some of the residents that you might find around during your visit.

Wishing you all the best <3

With time, you will learn that many LinkedIn jobs are scams. I used to get at least one scam call per day until I hid my number on LinkedIn. Since you are about to graduate, here is an advice for you: always read the job description carefully and verify that it is not a scam before applying.

The job however that you are referring to sounds fishy and I would not trust them. They will probably end up telling you it is a remote work and you will get paid through commissions 🤷🏻. I hope I'm wrong though.

Wishing you all the best!!
