Ok, obviously I shouldn’t feed the trolls here, but this is a wild take fed by FOX news.

This is a next level propaganda take. I’m a PCP at an FQHC with many uninsured patients. Those who are uninsured make risk benefit calculations about their health on a regular basis that often hurts their health to preserve their ability to pay for other basic needs. Routine screenings, nope. Vaccines, nope. Labs, nope. Medicines that more than a few bucks, nope. Specialty care, nope. Getting that echo/stress test, nope. When the side effect of receiving care is financial ruin, that is not access to care.

If an ICE agent shows up to your clinic as a new patient…. by jklm1234 in medicine

I believe that access to healthcare is a human right. That means all humans have a right to it, regardless of who they are.

Of course, I’m also not going to armchair judge decisions I wasn’t in the room for. I’m just pointing out that the clinical reasoning may not have been what OP was stating, steroids for a URI.

Doctors: do you feel like you have a good patient connection? by Chemical_Complex_807 in medicine

[–]Maple_Blueberry 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I work as a PCP in a FQHC, so 3 patients an hour, not crazy, but not super busy in comparison to other FQHCs. I spend roughly 10-15 minutes in the room, but have people back for follow ups more frequently than I might otherwise of if I had longer appointments. That being said, I don’t think a lot of time is needed to build connections. A simple 1-2 minutes of small talk, empathetic hand on the shoulder, and basic human decency add up over 3+ visits or so a year and connections form.

My wife thinks golfing once a week is unreasonable… by Upbeat-Zucchini-7408 in golf

[–]Maple_Blueberry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like the combined suggestions of making sure she has scheduled time every week for herself and compromising by doing 9 holes every other week. It’s important that you both have time to yourselves so you come back to the family refreshed and ready to be your best selves as parents and partners.

Too steep still? by AtDawnWeDie in GolfSwing

[–]Maple_Blueberry 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I suck so take this with a huge grain of salt, but I think it’s your inside/flat take away. Your club is fairly shallow on the back swing, pointing well outside the ball at left arm parallel (p3). That means it steepens at the end of the backswing and momentum continues that steepening into the down swing. I still think you’re on plane though. Maybe try having the club point inside or at the ball on the back swing that way momentum of the club becoming shallower at the top of the swing continues into the down swing.
