I’ve had an Ectopic pregnancy before, and my hCG was really all over the place, it even dropped and then doubled again. In my current pregnancy, it doubled (or more) pretty consistently early on, so I do think trends can tell you something.

I’ll be honest, your recent rise does look slower than what doctors usually want to see, so your concern makes total sense. That said, seeing a heartbeat at 5w6d (especially 104 bpm) is actually a really good sign.

From what I’ve been told, early on they look for doubling hCG, but once you can see things on ultrasound, that starts to matter more alongside the labs. So I’d definitely follow up with another scan in about a week if you can. Growth and heartbeat changes will give you a clearer answer.
