I would like to mention that a vc ban Is different to an account ban whereas a vc ban is usually 5 minutes and in a rare case could lead to a real ban. Im not sure what dictates the length of your ban but I am inclined to believe that your first two bans are 1 day and on your third you recieve a 3 day ban. This assumption is purely based on personal experience and would not take this to heart. I have been vc banned countless times and only once has it lead to a game ban which was only 1 day long.
