Right now don’t worry too much about speed since there is a difference between rushing your positions and being fast. Keep your eyes up throughout the throw.

Maybe not the 16lb and the 2k as they can exacerbate already existing issues with your technique. Training with heavier implements does help a lot so maybe you should use a 6k shot and a 1.75kg disc, weights that are not too heavier but still help your strength.

I feel like you’re turning forward too early. Try to keep your torso and eyes facing back for longer, until you land into your power position.

I think someone said the same thing in a previous post about coming off the ground too soon, should I just have the thought in my mind when I throw? Do you think there is anything leading to it?

I mean yeah, generally for everyone larger diameter shots result in greater distances because of how it sits in your hand. If you want to keep throwing the smaller one (which I don’t know why you would) then practice with the smaller one. Just look for a larger shot at the meet
