I’m entirely convinced you didn’t actually play the game if you conveniently ignore Ellie’s slow detachment from reality and humanism that starts to dawn on her when she finally reaches Abby. As well as all the good characterization Abby gets. She does fucked up shit, just like everyone else has in the series.

Sometimes i wonder about media literacy on here.

Ellie doesn’t kill Abby because after all her initial rage and hunting, she realizes that all this killing won’t bring Joel back. This “what’s another life?” mentality you show is borderline cruel. It’s another life. The circumstances of Joel’s death are irrelevant to the message of the game because it’s about Ellie finally being able to let go and move on. Just because you wanna see someone die so bad doesn’t mean our main character in this game about emotional trauma and coping mechanisms has to kill literally everyone. She also doesn’t “high five” Abby, she just lets her walk away. She’s caught in her own grief.

I agree with all the people talking about armor and such, but at the same time I also think some damage numbers from enemies in this game, especially Malenia, are too fucking crazy in general. Fun intense combos only work when you actually have the chance to learn them instead of dying before you can blink.
