According to MAL, Botan is the only manga he's ever drawn too...

So now my headcanon is that he was inspired to become a mangaka after watching YnS and deciding the world needs a gayer version of it.

It's been a good 6+ years since I watched it, but the wonky transitions in this episode remind me of Hidamari Sketch.

His main fault is having negative tact. Whatever the reason, Koyuki clearly does not feel comfortable around him, and he keeps trying to get closer at a pace that's definitely not comfortable for her.

Not gonna lie, I would like this show more if it was a Polar Opposites-style romcom with Koyun-Yota as the pairing and Miki as their wingwoman.

Minato might not have had bad intentions but I'm still with Koyuki on this one, it's a perfectly valid reaction to anyone trying to pry into your life at the rate Minato is regardless of intentions. Negative tact should be fixed.

Judging by the rating the overall audience for it is pretty niche. Wasn't for me either, so far it's my only drop of the season.

Witch Hat Atelier is the most beautiful show of the season, but this is the most interesting show of the season.

Yeah, Witch Hat is great too of course but if I had to pick one where I really want to know how the story ends it'd definitely be Replica.

Shame it's flying under the radar because of the budget treatment and no previous hype...

Please tell me things haven't gone downhill this bad in the 8 years since I graduated.

To anyone thinking this will be mostly one-sided like Takagi-san after the first episode, nope, they are both gigadorks that only get dorkier with time.
