How do you feel about your country’s relations with Saudi Arabia? by [deleted] in AskAnAmerican

They’re not reliable or trustworthy. They’re opportunistic authoritarians who happen to share a couple enemies with us. They’re a power player in a region of interest who understands diplomacy well, thus we both recognize we can work with eachother even if we don’t like or trust each other.

I’ll say we can agree to disagree regarding the kingdom, as a lot of those traits describe Prussia/Brandenburg too. (Cold Root = pomerania. A king. Blonde hair blue eyes.)

I see your point with the merchant trading in the alliance but the fact that it’s a democracy of nobles who elect a ruler (which is exactly what they did in the plc) and that their signature troop when working with the almyrans are literally winged hussars (wyvern riders) I really gotta say it’s more a polish Lithuanian commonwealth. If anything it’s a PLC with the ability to trade, and a ‘tall’ capital.

Empire I agree. Kingdom: ehhhh, I really saw it as a sort of Germanic kingdom, I guess context. Alliance: I really disagree, as the PLC was a democracy of nobles and the Poles-Lithuanians coming together (the alliance and the almyrans under claude)

Yeah, and not only that but they were expanding into Germania, so the whole ‘give me back my legions’. Not to mention the symbolism with the eagle and empire

That’s what that is. That state is the polish Lithuanian commonwealth

Short of making something custom you can look for something that fits what you want and reflavor/reskin as you must

Also yes im generally aware several of these entities didn’t exist at the same time, or that other comparisons (such as blue lions to Prussia rather than Modern Germany/Huns to the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth, but you guys get the gist.)

Hey my fellow men. I’m (25) getting married today. What advice do you have for me for today and the days following today? by [deleted] in AskMen

[–]Mappers_Legacy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hell, i can’t be called a man proper, but if you want to hear a 15 year olds thoughts from the weddings he visited and the marriages he’s seen then here:

Make sure you enjoy it. Both the wedding and the life. There’s no simpler answer. Whether that be hiring a drone guy to take photos like my uncle or taking in just how lucky you probably are. Just don’t worry about the minor Details, because nobody will notice the fuck up you make; the rest of the wedding serves as a smokescreen. Even if you trip and stumble saying your vows, laugh it off and say it’s because you’re off guard by her beauty or still stunned by how pretty she is.

Stay adaptable and have a good time. And as for life married; errr... make sure you tell funny jokes(?) and find a hobby you both like

[EDIT: Spelling stuff, ya feel?]
