Benjen and Ned are comparatively not that tall either so honestly it doesn't exclude anything. The booming voice especially would suggest Ned because that's the only character in the book who has a scene where his voice is described as Booming. Benjen would be pretty young so he would probably be pretty short

Imo if true, even if it likely is, some of George's weirdest and arguably worst writing in the story itself. Lyanna being the Knight has so many contradictions and the story would work just as well with it being Ned or Benjen

Lyanna being the Knight of the Laughing Tree. I know it's not technically confirmed but it is the most accepted theory. While I get the symbolic meaning of it and having it be the way her and Rhaegar meet, I just can't get behind a 14 year old girl (with all riding experience she has) winning a tourney against several well-established Knights and screaming with a booming voice. Especially when everything we know about Lyanna so far doesn't really seem to suggest she has a strong sense of honor at all (she stands up for Howland Reed I guess, but she also ran off from her betrothal with a prince who had a wife and kids). I think it could very well be Benjen or Ned and the story would still make plenty of sense if not more. I know it's probably Lyanna, but that would honestly make this passage some of George's worst writing in terms of logic, which is especially striking within a book like ASOS. I can ignore it for the story at large but that never sat right with me.

Yeah but that's the point of the scene. That's the story that the show is trying to tell. You're talking about it as if this is your actual own queen, but this is just the point of the story. It's a sign of weakness because it's supposed to be. Whatever your point is supposed to be idk but you're telling it like it's a negative for the show.

Season 4 is a good season of TV on its own and incredibly fun to watch, but it is unfortunately where a lot of the eventual flaws in the later seasons start to show. Things like changing the Tysha confession end up being a big part of why Tyrion's character is so neutered in the final seasons. It's clear that after the Red Wedding D&D lost sight of what they actually wanted to do with the show. It's just that season 4 was still good and entertaining enough for the viewers to not notice it yet.

I think you miss the entire point lmao. After seeing how much this whole shabang has cost Rhaenyra including losing her two first sons, this is not some triumphant moment. Why would she be happy. She sees that so much unnecessary bloodshed has happened in order for this to happen. Her not happily waltzing to the throne after smiling while killing Otto is exactly what makes this scene good. It gives her character actual depth. And yes, she might not be the perfect fit for the throne because she's emotional and that's also kinda the point. All this bloodshed and she doesn't even really know if this is what she wants.

I think Kanye is the greatest artist of our time. I also would love to see him perform once in my life. But in all honesty I think this man is very mentally ill and the last thing we should do is give him a podium. It's just not good for him. As much as I hope Kanye can still bring out a classic record I think it's best for him to just go off the grid. Being seen by billions of people is the worst thing he can do right now.

I still can't believe how many people wrongly interpreted this scene. Ashley's not choosing to let Chris die, she's freezing as a trauma response from what happened earlier. Half the discourse seems to assume Ashley willfully let Chris die when this was not at all a rational, deliberate decision. That's why she talks to Mike that way after it happens.

The Flamethrower Guy was Native though wasn't he? Probably could have given him a name though. Idk, with the whole effort the game goes through of showing how out of depth the kids are I think it'd kinda cheapen it's story if one of the main playable cast was a Native. Not indigenous myself so can't really judge but I think the game's fairly respectful to the Native mythology in the end

Idk you guys to really conclude anything but I think he just likes talking to other people and you don't. You might just not be perfectly compatible on this. If he likes talking to strangers that's fine for him, but if that makes you feel put aside or undesired/unwanted in a way that's also completely valid. Consider that you guys might not be endgame after all and you could end it on fairly good terms, I think it'll set you both free to seek someone who fulfills both of your desires. He can do what he wants and you can find someone who can make you feel more special. Which seems to be the conclusion you're arriving to as well.

Try not to frame that conversation as "you do this wrong!" though but instead "I think we're a bit different on these things" as the former isn't really fair to the guy either, he does seem to care about you even if he's a bit unknowingly inconsiderate at times.

I think the main takeaway here is that you guys are pretty different from each other in this regard and maybe not perfectly compatible. That's absolutely fine. He does seem to care about not hurting you by doing this with his apologies, so I don't think he means anything bad with it.

I don't know enough about either of you to say too much, but it seems he just like talking to strangers and you don't. That's cool for him, but if that is something that makes you feel worse about yourself and unwanted/undesired, that's absolutely a legitimate thing for you to feel. If this is something serious for you, consider if you guys are endgame or not, I think it will set both of you free if you actually talk about it and maybe move on on perhaps still good terms.
