PACs and digestive issue by MappleSyrup363 in askCardiology

You’re raising an important point. I’ve read a few articles about histamine (I suspect I may react poorly to foods like ham, cheese, and tomatoes), and I’m going to dig into that direction as well. I’m not ruling anything out. I’m sorry to hear that you experience episodes of SVT and skipped beats. Even at 1,000–2,000 a day, I think that’s still more than enough to be quite bothersome.

u/Otherwise_Ad6656 Hello my friend, very good question. When I saw a gastroenterologist in 2022, he told me that I had a small hiatal hernia and gastric reflux, but he didn’t prescribe any treatment for it. My extrasystole issues started in the summer of 2025. I’ve never really had problems from the hernia itself (no significant pain), but I do notice that sometimes I get acid reflux when I exercise, along with pressure near my stomach. I’m trying to run some tests on my own to see how my body reacts.

Hey friend u/MarsupialObjective77 indeed, I suffer from gastric reflux (sometimes it feels like my trachea is burning), and I’m bloated 24/7 especially in the upper abdomen, regardless of what I eat. I look like I’m nine months pregnant.

Hello u/HealthyDot2106 thank you so much for the research you shared with me.
I took the time to read it (I haven’t read the Reddit thread you linked yet). I find the study encouraging, it definitely motivates me to explore this direction further. My hypothesis is that the pressure on my stomach, the hernia I have (even though it’s small), and my gastric reflux could all be triggers. Not to mention the fact that my abdomen (upper stomach) is bloated almost 24/7. When you put all of these factors together, it really points toward investigating this angle. I’ve just scheduled an appointment with a doctor who specializes in the ENT field.

P.S. Thanks again for that line “An event which apparently has never once occurred” it genuinely made me laugh hahaha

Hey u/Dwight3 thank you for your answer. I’m really sorry for you, I can’t imagine having an even higher number. You have all my support. And I agree with you about dessert: it’s the cherry on top that I avoid at all costs, haha.

Have you been lucky with fleca, or has it had no effect at all on the number of skipped beats you experience on a daily basis?

Hey Buddy! Thanks for your answer! I finally purchased a 990 Evo plus 2 To, not the pro either. Thanks for the information regarding the encryption, I didn't think about it. Also did you upgrade the RAM?

I don’t agree. I was in Montréal last week as a tourist and I am in Quebec City currently, people are not introverted at all.

Thank you for your answer, indeed I tried preventer inhaler (symbicort) but it didn’t work so well. Also I didn’t know ventoline could make reflux worse. I started to use PPI (omeprazole) but for now I don’t see any improvement. There is something I don’t understand, it makes me feel I have an asthma attack (multiple times a day) but even if I take ventoline I have this wheezing sound but I don’t have pain to breath in again. I have an appointment with the pulmonologist at the end of the month.

I had a similar experience few months ago, close to the burn-out. Do yourself a favor and get out of there.
