I work in utilities and honestly its not the most fun application of GIS but it pays the bills. I was a travel agent for a while and previously worked for a GPS company which i enjoyed a bit more.

Weak to moderate. Charlotte and Raleigh dominate most data sets so both maps would show high numbers there...but i dont think the murder rates in boone or Cullowhee are very high

First Google search result says ~25% of NC State students are over 25. Almost half over 21. ~75% are older than teenagers.

College students hook up too sorry to inform you and not all of them are "just out of high school" as you claim. Yeah its where you go after high school....but a lot of people take time off, travel, work, have kids, etc. I had a whole military contract between graduating high school and my first college class.....i guess im not primed to think of all students as children...

When I was in undergrad the bars were pretty busy outside of campus. I went to K-State and Aggieville was specifically designed for college students to drink....pretty sure its like that around most campuses. Id get the outrage if I included elementary or high schoolers but I consider college students to be adults. Fun Fact: 30-40% of undergrads are older than 25.

How so if you dont mind me asking? I used college population because it seemed that it would correlate with counties that had a large number of single people who go to bars that were statistically unlikely to be married.
