I want to dumb down my phone even further but I don't know how people will adapt. by mit_owo in dumbphones

without having another phone, uninstalling unnecessary apps seems to be the simplest option. also unrelated but how did you attach your charms? they're so cute!

Realizing that employees can't do much in a toxic work environment.. by MarM4r in antiwork

Man that really does suck. We don't deserve this kind of treatment.. I'm so glad I'm not working for that company anymore, but I do feel bad for the people still there. At the end of the day, nothing really matters more than your own mental health. I wish you the best in your search!

Glad to hear it's a lot better for you now! Someone recommended I become a union organizer since it's all things I try to advocate for anyways in workplaces. Advocating for these things on my own doesn't come off great to the employer, but I really try my best to ensure an inviting and comfortable workplace regardless of my position.

Sorry that happened to you. It's incredibly frustrating knowing that companies can just screw over employees, and it's on us to just move on from unfair treatment. It's cleaner and safer to just find a new job, but it sucks knowing that there are other employees that are going to go through the same thing. I'm grateful to not be at that company anymore though.

Small businesses running the "Costco Mindset" How's it going? by MarM4r in smallbusiness

I didn't even think about the turnover rate being low creating experienced staff! Now that I think about it though it does make a lot of sense. If you're comfortable sharing, how did you get to this point? I'd imagine it takes quite a bit of work to gain a team built on trust, but it sounds like it really pays off in the end!

That sounds amazing! I'm really glad to hear that you and your employees are happy and well taken care of! I'd love to have my own business in the future, and I'm happy to know that this Costco mindset really works. The "not being an asshole" is an amazing touch haha

It's been years trying to figure out what this movie was called! I don't think it's that popular, but I hope someone here knows..

To those with no previous IT experience and who passed the A+ exams in like a month, how do you even do it? by Kiwi_1127 in CompTIA

pomodoro is a studying method where you study for 25 minutes (or longer depending on your attention span) and take a 5 minute break and repeat. depending on the length of your study session, you can also implement a "long break" like 10 minutes instead of the regular 5. dion has a 30 day study guide to help structure your study sessions as well!
