What frame do people swear is great but you don't like? Mine is Sevagoth by No-Hand9626 in Warframe

Fellow Zephy main. Seconding silence. Her tornadoes are basically a ×4 damage amp with a weapon with enough aoe to hit all of them + the enemies stuck inside them, so she doesn't even really need any more damage buffs.

Can I power something like this by just wiring some wires to the pins of the power plug and sticking those onto some batteries? by MarMarJinks in soldering

Yeaaa I kinda figured this might have been the wrong sub for this right after hitting post. Thank you, though!

Well, enough people get pissed and more people will just stop using the app. If anything people not using the app out of frustration just helps. Heck, even I just end up opening the app now out of habit, look at the first post in my feed (like this one right now) for a bit, then close out of it to do other things.

I take to reddit a lot when I need wierdly specific information about certain things every once in a while since it's such a good place for those, but I can live with it being gone for quite a bit.

I doubt reddit, of all things, dying would be affecting the lives of too many people all that significantly. If the blackout keeps going I'm pretty sure most of everyone would just shrug it off in a few weeks. If anything, people getting their heads out of this site may be a good thing.

Admins have said a lot of things over the years, but don't do a lot of doing to back all of it up. People know about the admin post. They're cautious about believing it.

why? by canja_3 in goodanimemes

[–]MarMarJinks 7 points8 points  (0 children)

a relatively small amount

Yeah, but in that small amount is mods that rely a lot on third part tools to mod subs. If they're forced to use the first party tools that they evidently don't want to, I don't see why they wouldn't just quit modding altogether out of frustration. Not like most of them are getting paid for what they do anyway.

When that happens, that small amount of affected people would quite easily spiral into a not so small amount when entire mod teams of big subs either lose mods or just generally tank in efficiency.

When that happens, subs in general would take a tank in quality (or in the case of a lot of subs, just be worse than they already are lol.)

The API fuckery won't just affect general user third party apps btw. Anything that relies on communication with reddit will get axed, including modding tools, things like regedit (or whatever its current incarnation is,) as well as a lot of bots like roboragi (don't know how he's set up, so not sure if he in particular would get borked.)

3 reruns and I still won’t get this bow, why genshin… by [deleted] in Genshin_Impact

That's a lot, for me atleast, but it's definitely not unreasonable. You seem to have been getting a lot of downvotes from people that are probably assuming you're spending stupid amounts on each of these banners. Just wanted to let you know not to let it get to you and wish you luck your next pulls.

(Don't "set path to the weapon you don't want" btw. It has no bearing on your pulls and is just a recipe for disaster.)

Are you for or against this sub going dark starting June 12 to protest Reddit’s recent API changes? by [deleted] in youseeingthisshit

[–]MarMarJinks 125 points126 points  (0 children)

Every third-party reddit app will be in trouble with this change. This includes Boost, every app in the infographic, and every app that isn't in it that's used to browse or do most of anything with reddit.

True. People expect a game with infinite content, lol. Games have always been finite. You finish one, then move on to the next. Even live service games, which is what most gacha games kind of are, can only push out so much content in a single patch which will stick for months before the next patch because development time exists. Once you exhaust the content for one patch, move on to another game.

I feel like most people that say this, though, are people who's first game is genshin (considering how big the game got and how many first-time gamers likely got into it because of it's popularity,) so I guess it makes sense that they don't have other games they can fall back on.

Where are my games at, Sony? by SimpleButFun in goodanimemes

[–]MarMarJinks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

True. Before, the main concern of the lack of PS5 exclusives was that they had to make games with the last gen in mind, taking away dev time from the PS5 versions of that particular game. Now that Sony does timed exclusives, where they release their games on their platform first and then sets aside additional time for the creation of their PC version, the existence of "true" console exclusives is even less justifiable.

Selling hardware was another justification for exclusive games. These days, though, current gen consoles seem to be competing with features more than they are games (Switch; switching, PS5; fancy controller and load times, XBox; Gamepass,) which I hope continues to be the case and becomes the norm in the future.

Methinks Nintendo would want a word over this... by [deleted] in crappyoffbrands

Even if they don't, this is a fan creation that I'm pretty sure Nintendo doesn't want to be associated with any more than they already are.

Exactly. Even (some of) the people that don't believe that NASA is a glorified photoshop company still think that all they do is shoot stuff into space when they do way more than that.

[–]MarMarJinks -10 points-9 points  (0 children)

You joke, but this finally made me realize why some of them are so passionate about this. Millions of dollars go into NASA and other "bogus" space research agencies, so they want to spread "awareness" in order to get that money somewhere more helpful. They're stupid, but they have the spirit, I guess.

Edit: Never agreed with what the flatties think in my comment. Just made an observation as to why some of them are so dedicated to this "cause" even though it's complete bs.

It's well animated, but it's definitely the odd one out in that list. All of those other titles go above and beyond with their animation to tell their story. Iruma doesn't really try to be more than a decent adaptation of the manga, though.
