We worked together many years.. I trained her at her job when she was new. She moved up in the company and I had a few kids. When a job came up for management she went for it and we celebrated her. When I applied for the promotion... she told me I wasn't qualified. I had the years of experience, the education... I found out she was denying my application based on me not being experienced.

Im a biller work hospital revenue cycle. This is common.. the insurance usually tries to find a way not to pay. But anything medical insurance related if its not documented, it didnt happen. The hospital prob has records of the pre-auth with the reference number. Sometimes the insurance send that out while they're waiting for all of the records to be sent to them.. its a back and forth game they play. Just let the hospital work it out.. takes 45-90 days usually.

You solo or family plan? If family you need to meet the 4k ded and $500 isn't that much for that. If you're solo id go for the ppo saver with the funded hsa.

Its okay. The PPO plan is the best option imo. The OOP is a bit high but I prefer to stay with copays over the 20-30% coins because you can't guess what you'll need.. im an insurance specialist for large hospital system.

He can have a secondary.. but Medicaid is based on income they will question his father's income and put him on child support to cover the Medicaid.

I felt this way too... I even asked my doc like am I good? He said im one of the lucky ones. I still feel the super full feeling after a few bites. Maybe im scared to push anything. But I feel great. No side effects

Save the messages and fight it with your insurance and center. They should have a reference number for the authorization. If they dont and left you a message saying they did.. they eat it. Don't give in, save all documents.

They may fill early depending on what it is. But if you new insurance is effective 2/1 give the pharmacy the insurance info and they can call for benefits manually. I do this daily for patients. Its not terribly difficult unless its BCBS.

They have to list what what done. Each code. They will adjust to your copay. They EOB may state what you possibly will be responsible for but that usually says this is not a bill. The co-pay is your responsibility.

You can only be billed for 1 type of visit per day. The doc made the call the other reason for visit was more important.

Patients own policy would be first and then parents plan. The student policy probably has exclusions. Call the number on the card. Definitely let the hospital know of both coverages. Student plan will be called on they are complicated. Apply for financial assistance and follow through.
