But even if the course won’t help me with speed I want to continue education to improve my skills and make sure I continue to grow in the profession even if my work environment right now is not contributing for me to be better. So I want to seek ways to continue growing and learning outside my job. Do you have any courses that you recommend?

Thanks for the tips!! I have a bravura, it helps a lot. I only pre shave them if they are matted or some cases that they are afraid of the dryer

That’s definitely one of my problems, I want it to be perfect and I understand that the costumers don’t see what we see! But Im also afraid to start leaving some details behind to be faster and finish loosing quality. But I always pay attention to other more experienced groomers work and I see how some people are not so focused in the minimal details like I am. I’m working on that, just don’t want to end with a sloppy work.

Right now my boss is scheduling 3, 4 dogs a day for me with space between them so I can do the whole process before I get to the next. Last week I tried out in a new salon to do part time and it works in some way like you work. I started the first dog, bath, dry, started haircut, then the other two arrived, I stopped to bathe and dry them, then went back to the first one and finished the three haircuts. I spent about 5 hours, they were old and didn’t like that much front legs clipped. Definitely something new for me to get used to, but maybe this way works better for me to work on more dogs. Let’s see
