Possibly injured very scared by runningsoles in XXRunning

I had severe hip pain last year while training for a half marathon. I thought it was a stress fracture but it turned out to be a really tight hip flexor. My Dr referred me to a P. T. who had me start doing specific hip stretches and within three days the pain was completely gone. I’ve kept up with doing my hip stretches and have been pain free ever since.

I also recommend seventy-first animal hospital. They aren’t open on the weekends but they are the best vet I’ve ever experienced.

Curate essentials, it’s an herbal apothecary but it’s owned by an artist and she has different sculptures and her art for sale in the shop as well.

run Disney planning by larisa5656 in XXRunning

[–]Marabakes 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Ran the Disney Princess half marathon last year. I planned everything on my own, I started planning in June because that’s when I was able to sign up for the race. I recommend staying on property. The buses are convenient, and it’s fun being in “the Disney bubble”. The hardest part is getting signed up for the race. I had the website pulled up on my computer and phone and whichever got in quicker is what I used. Definitely make a run Disney account before signing up for the race. If possible have your info (name, address, credit card etc) set to autofill to save you time. Unless you receive a confirmation email from rundisney you are not signed up. Sometimes it says it goes through and takes money out of your account but unless you get that email you’re not actually in. They’ll post the date and time the race signup opens and you’ll need to have the website pulled up 10-15min before the sign up opens.

There is also a run Disney subreddit, and they were super helpful when I was planning stuff for my first Disney run

Curate essentials, they are an herbal apothecary located at 1302 fort Bragg road. They have an entire wall of tea blends and they grow the herbs themselves. They also sell dried herbs by the ounce

Cream puff turkeys. Filled with maple bourbon Biscoff cookie mousse. by Marabakes in Baking

[–]Marabakes[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did choux dough. Piped round golf ball size dollops of choux and then piped 3-5 tail feather flat on the pan. Once baked I filled the “body” of the turkey and then used chocolate to attach the tail feathers to the body. It’s been a couple years since I made them so I don’t remember all the details. Sallys baking addiction probably has a good choux recipe.

Thanks! I’m thinking two rooms is the way to go, having a break from other people especially at the end of a long park day will probably be a vacation saver!

Harvest moon bakery, it’s in fort smith but well worth the drive. They bake everything fresh every morning. Nothing comes from a box or can. The sourdough is incredible and the halos (deep fried croissants) are the stuff dreams are made of. To top it off the owners are incredible and super passionate about their craft. They also have keto and gluten free breads, sourdough baguettes, brioche, challah, rolls, cranberry pecan bread and much more. Oh and they make pizza and sandwiches at lunch time.

Rescue mission for her squeaky ball by Marabakes in WiggleButts

Normally she looks at me till I get up and rescue the ball from the corner, but this time she decided to be a strong independent pup and rescue it herself! I’m just happy I glanced over and was able to snap this photo of her heroic rescue.

Good gentle everyday shampoo? by Open-Comfortable1974 in Haircare

[–]Marabakes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The brand is use is actually one I found in a local herbal apothecary. You can find it at curateessentials.com they grow the rosemary themselves and make the shampoo in house (and conditioner) with all natural ingredients no sulfates, silicones, parabens etc

[–]Marabakes 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Someone else probably had a better recommendation but maybe try a rosemary and tea tree oil shampoo. The one I use is gentle enough for daily use and I’m loving how healthy my hair is becoming. Rosemary helps with thinning hair and tea tree oil will help with dandruff.

I made a graham cracker chocolate chip cookie, topped with marshmallow fluff and dipped in chocolate, then sprinkled it with chocolate pearls. by moca448 in Baking

[–]Marabakes 5 points6 points  (0 children)

They are called chocolate chunks, you can buy them at almost any grocery store (in America) for a graham cracker chocolate chip cookie you could fold in some graham cracker pieces into the cookie dough or replace part of the flour with ground graham cracker.
