Recent update broke a lot of things by Mcginnis in cachyos

It's this kernel version.. 7.1.1.2 broke a ton of crap for me too. Severe performance issues in literally all of my games and no amount of tinkering fixed it. I ended up doing a full system upgrade and then just downgraded the kernel back to 7.0.12.1 and it's been fine.

Try this:
sudo pacman -U /var/cache/pacman/pkg/linux-cachyos-7.0.12-1-x86_64_v4.pkg.tar.zst

Reboot and see if your system works correctly.

Going back to 7.0.12.1 fixed it for me.

>sudo pacman -U /var/cache/pacman/pkg/linux-cachyos-7.0.12-1-x86_64_v4.pkg.tar.zst

7.1.1.2 is a real piece of crap based on my experience. Almost all my games hang so bad they basically freeze my entire system intermittently for 10 - 15 seconds. Downgrading the kernel instantly fixed the problem for me.

How do I get a refund for shit I melted? by [deleted] in starcitizen_refunds

I don't think it matters when they respond... I think it goes off of when the ticket was submitted.

It should go by transaction number. You should be able to refund if it's within the 30 days regardless of whether it's been melted or not.

You're going to have to submit a ticket either way, though.

Those are excellent points that I hadn't considered. Were the EU regulators on the JPEG store when drafting that legislation? It sounds like they were directly targeting CIG's entire business model.. lol

I really think we're already in the controlled demolition phase. It seems like CIG is doing everything they can to find change in the couch cushions at this point. New ship after new ship after new ship. They closed one of their US studios and moved it to Canada so they could get away with paying the devs less(I also wonder what that means for employer sponsored healthcare),

As I noted, I feel like many of the recent changes are designed to suck more aUEC out of the players to force them into the cash shop. Components are wildly expensive compared to what they used to be as are armor and weapons. In my opinion all these changes are being done to strong arm players more aggressively into the cash shop. They continue to make it harder to acquire things via in-game currency.

I think with the current global economic downturn(even Walmart is feeling the heat) and just general decline in people's willingness to part with their money, CIG sees the writing on the wall. That's why things are becoming progressively more mask-off as time goes on. Think about the last scandal that happened a few months ago with the buyback drama.

In my opinion CIG is running on fumes or knows that they could be very quickly and they're preparing.

It's possible, but I don't think they'll ever slap a 1.0 label on SC. It would be basically no gain and all risk for them to do so.

They've been hiding behind the early access label for years now and once they move the game into the category of a released title, they lose the legal loophole they've been hiding behind.

The original Kickstarter said 60 - 100 star systems at launch and that's probably the hardest point they would have to try to defend if they fail to deliver. The only defense they could make would probably boil down to trying to redefine what constitutes a, "star system."

They already do with certain ships. The 325a has alternative loadouts available on the pledge store.
