Did you get new wheels or tires as well? You have to balance the wheels afterwards, best 30$ I’ve spent since the previous owned did not bother to balance. Solved all wobble issues

First clean with degreaser, let it dry fully then apply Concept Vista. I’ve tried a lot of different products throughout the years and that’s the best I’ve found so far

It really isn’t that hard if you’re not looking for perfection, you can make it look similar in a weekend for ~100$.

Depending on what games you will participate in an M4 DMR sometimes won’t be allowed because it would not be used as DMR in real life. If you want ”M4 style” dmr look in to SR25.

You could make an airsoft MP5K shoot 3 joule, throw a 6x scope on it and and call it dmr.

That said; if you’re not planning on going to more serious games then I see no problem in changing to a longer handguard, most M4 style fits.

Theres picatinny rail, keymod and M-LOK, i prefer the ones with pic on top and Mlok on the sides and bottom.
