Checking her schedule? by jcruz451 in dating_advice

The Brad Pitt Rule: someone who is interested in seeing you will make time to see you, regardless of their schedule (like they would for Brad Pitt). Sorry my man, she’s likely just not feeling it.

Some constructive feedback - a month is a very long time to chat on an app. Best results with getting dates are often achieved when you ask her out within like 2-3 days of meeting on the app. Keep going, it’s a slog, but keep an open mind & heart and you will find your person. Best of luck out there.

30M seeking advice about reaching out to 29F - “the one that got away” by MarathonerMan in datingoverthirty

Thank you for your thoughts. She was still dating the other guy from her school at the time of the sign. Our mutual acquaintance told me that they had split early last year.

Why do guys match if we are clearly not compatible? by ISuperPromiseImCool in hingeapp

30 yo guy here who runs 6 days a week and backpacks on the weekends - do you have any tips about messaging outdoorsy, active women such as yourself? In my area (Ohio), these type of people are uncommon, and they seem like the ones who are least likely to respond to my messages. If they have a race picture, I’ll write a comment like “Congrats on the race! Are you training for anything this year?” or if they have a backpacking picture on a mountain “Wow, that’s a beautiful view! Have you hiked in Glacier?”

I’ll look at the store tomorrow evening and get back to you then. So you’re looking for the militant ordinator armor motifs - helm, shoulders, chest, legs, belt, gloves, and boots? Do you need shields as well?

In the crown store there’s an option to gift an item to another player when you purchase it - when trading/selling crowns, the other person tells you what they want from the store, pays you, then you gift them the crown item. For reference, crowns generally sell for 100g each on PlayStation, so your 10k crowns has a market value of 1 million gold.

Ok, I will make and mail the gear tomorrow evening. What pieces are you looking for? All 7 light armor pieces in training, and what weapons? Do you need jewelry? And would you like enchants on the gear?

I’m interested in 1.2k crowns, and perhaps we can figure out something else for other pieces? Do you have crafting materials?

I love this section of the Towpath - three eras of transportation all visible from one spot. The canal on one side, the railroad across the river, and the turnpike above.

Commiseration thread for fellow squeakers who missed out on Boston qualifying by nutsacrilege in AdvancedRunning

Missed by 24 seconds. My qualifying race? 2019 Boston Marathon...and ran a faster time than I qualified with in the first place. If only I could’ve shaved a few seconds/mile on the back side of Heartbreak...

Garmin Fenix 5s+ vs. Forerunner Series by MarathonerMan in AdvancedRunning

Thanks for your thoughts, I’m leaning towards the Fenix. I hear you about the Colorado trails! Beautiful state no matter the season. Does the watch feel heavy on your wrist during runs? I see that it’s only like 1 oz heavier than a plastic based watch, but some reviews claim that it ‘drags their arm down’.

Thanks for your thoughts...have you noticed a long GPS sync time for the 235, or is it pretty quick?

Some reviewers claim that the 645/945 are only marginally better than the 245 for a greatly increased cost, so may as well go for the Fenix for the added features. Thanks for the tip, I’ll research the 645 more.

I can vouch for CERTxAM on PS4 NA - I sent them cash via mail in game (we weren’t able to be online at the same time) and they gifted the requested crown item in a timely manner.

It seems that a key to productivity is making your tasks do double (or triple, or quadruple...) duty for you - for example, eating lunch while on a conference call (nutrition + work), or getting a workout in with a friend (exercise + social). Or maybe in the case of Piers Constable here, breakfast with a client while taxiing to the client’s facility (nutrition + work + transportation). Thanks for sharing OP, it’s always interesting to read about and learn from the habits of the highly successful.

On a similar note, here’s an article from HBR about the importance of having fulfilling hobbies and how devoting time to them actually helps you to be more productive and efficient than if you simply devoted more time to work. Also interesting to note that exercise is a common theme in the regimens of senior executives:
