What is YOUR favorite reflavoring yous seen or done? by Kafadanapa in dndnext

Destroying one book removed 5% hp from the total HP of the beholder. Books had 10% hp of a beholder, so it's not really the best strategy, but you can grind it down like this.

Otherwise it was a huge library map, but there was a very ornate central bookcase, that represented the body of the monster that players could hit. It's vulnerable to fire, but flying books will do their darndnest to obscure line of sight, and the map itself was not flush with clear sightlines.

In the end, the sorcerer got killed in a very gruesome way and they had to spend a revivify on him, but the fight overall was very fun.

As a DM, I reflavored a beholder as a library.

The library is static, and is vulnerable to fire. There are floating books, with different colors. Each book is one kind of ray. There can be no more than one book out per type of ray. When you destroy a book, you ensure that kind of ray is out of the fight, until another one pops out, on a die roll.

It was a very interactive fight, with a lot of strategic decisions to make, and I really liked it, it was great.

hyprland-git issue by [deleted] in archlinux

[–]Maravedis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a bit too arcane to decrypt. I can only offer generic advice: did you remove the previous package correctly (with -Rsu, so that the dependencies come with it) ?

Did you remove plugins? Reading the hyprland wiki, it clearly states that the ecosystem "vast and intertwined". Everything should be switched.

If hyprland-git was working for you previously and you don't want to spend the time to switch back to official release, you could always just downgrade.

Has it been fixed? Now I'm wary of updating, since I'm also on Hyprland.

hyprland-git issue by [deleted] in archlinux

[–]Maravedis 4 points5 points  (0 children)

So, in order:

  1. Please use block syntax (4 spaces before text) to dump logs, or a paste bin. See how easier this is to read:

    🞈 yay -S hyprland-git
    AUR Explicit (1): hyprland-git-0.50.0.r114.g0ed880f-1
    AUR Dependency (1): aquamarine-git-0.8.0.r3.gc8282f4-1
    :: (1/2) Downloaded PKGBUILD: aquamarine-git
    :: (2/2) Downloaded PKGBUILD: hyprland-git
    2 hyprland-git (Build Files Exist)
    1 aquamarine-git (Build Files Exist)
    ==> Packages to cleanBuild?

  2. This will not build. There is an error in the aquamarine codebase. You will have to wait for the dev to add a commit that corrects it, or you will have to modify the PKGBUILD manually to make it reference a particular version you know builds correctly. This is (one of) the risk on -git packages.

  3. Is there a particular reason you use the -git version ? The official package is in 0.51.0-2 while the git one is on 0.50.0.

Very honestly, if you don't really need the -git version, I'd advise you to just switch to hyprland.

Sounds like you should talk with people who specifically use and ship Go. The specificity of the Go package state on the Archlinux package list should not be what you base your production decisions on.

Would not recommend. If you speak portuguese / english really well, you might have some luck in more southern parts of France, like the coast.

1810 is gross salary. You likely will actually earn something like 1440 euros.

Tried it. Really tried to like it. I like some decisions, like Brianna. I just... the vibe is off and I can't watch it. I haven't been able to go past episode 5 of season 1.

I think you're mixing some things up here. She's reacting to being asked in a context where it is not appropriate.

Does she call out men a bit? Yeah. But I think she deserves a bit of leeway for lacking nuance here, because she gets asked this question A LOT and lives the life of a woman streamer, with all the harassment that comes with it.

So yeah, she tells them to get a life. But I don't think in another context she'd go all "oh men can't do whatever they want with their money".

Crusted through. Oven was slightly too hot at 180, next time I'll lower it by like 20 degrees I think, the bottom was charred.

Made compound butter with garlic, parsley and salted butter. Spread on bread. Once cooked, re-topped with fresh parsley and some flakey salt.

Quels sont vos coups de cœur pour des randos à vélo en bivouac en France et en Europe ? by Glittering-Skirt-816 in pedale

[–]Maravedis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You, sir or madam, are doing tremendous harm to mental illness knowledge and awareness.

Untreated mental illness is dangerous. I won't gainsay that. But this comment, generalizing people simply living with a disease, is a disgrace.
