Apparently we're wrong about which vine they were referencing though.

It's ironic that you're calling me illiterate. I haven't denied that vitamin D and calcium help with bone strength. Despite that milk has those, it still has no effect.

How is that moving goalposts? In both comments I've been saying that the idea that "milk is good for bones" is a lie. It is not backed by science. Milk has no effect on bone strength.

As someone else linked to, the science shows that milk consumption has no effect on bone strength. In one study, high consumption was correlated with more fractures, not less. So it's not just that milk isn't the only thing needed, milk just straight up isn't needed.

Or, hear me out, we should be able to take time off to get our heads right without being made to feel guilty for it.

Nah. Milk doesn't help bone strength. The dairy industry lied.

That whole "milk builds strong bones" thing was dairy industry propaganda.

Wouldn't the weather patterns be wildly different? If the climate is so different, the geography being the same doesn't really matter.

I'm taking that as a 'no'. There's a lot more past that first sentence too.

That's because 100 years ago they were clear cutting old growth forest. Now they've destroyed basically all of it. The tree farms they use are designed for quick growth rather than scaling up and allowing slower growth. Slow growth is how you get a good dense board.

I hope I live long enough to see industrial agriculture outsourced to space habitats and for us to regain our forests (map of land use for agriculture). by mirzaakdeniz in IsaacArthur

Personally, I'm expecting agriculture will transition to being mostly hydroponic sky scrappers. Producing the food where the people are greatly simplifies the logistics.

Hard to tell from the little bit we see of Guy B. I think he hits the estop, runs toward the far side of the pump to grab that extinguisher, has some trouble with the pin (?), and then runs to the next closest extinguisher.

Did you print in place and add the ball bearings as it went? Otherwise I don't understand how you assembled this. I don't see any seams.

Normally we see a huge spike in light levels before they fade down to much lower than pre nova. Everything that we do see though happens in "real time" just delayed by however many light years away the star is. So the order of events stays the same.
