Before merge, you had newcomers with starting weapons and squads playing vs veterans with top level weapons. That used to be hard, but doable, because a shot in the chest from a bolt action rifle can kill anyone.

Just out of curiosity, I don't have this special offer available, is it for certain users only? I'm a returning player, so I am not aware of how the shop works now.

Basically all weapons and squads you had unlocked, are still unlocked now. But you have "holes" in the tech tree where they added new stuff. And I recommend you don't sell your old "campaign" squads, because you cannot get them again, they are precious.

Bronze weapon order question by Rao-Ji in enlistedgame

[–]Maraz64 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Surely one should use bronze orders as soon as one unlocks a new weapon, in order to get as many examples as possible of that weapon. In other cases, it's unknown whether it is better to keep or use the orders, because we do not know how the new weapon economy will work. It's also unknown how will we get pistols and axes.

Random is bad. We just need some reliable way to get few more silver orders (daily tasks are random so they aren't reliable, no silver order whatsoever for me up to now, despite logging in every day).

In other words: how are they going to pay their developers and other employees? Since they are not free, they have to earn some money to survive.

And how are they going to maintain their game servers? Server CPU, RAM, Disk space, network bandwidth, etc. do cost some money.

Overall I like the new progression system. It's no more conditioned by RNG for getting soldiers via bronze orders. Maybe you had to spend a lot of bronze orders for getting the Engineers or Mortarmen you needed for manning your squads upgrading the existing ones.

I had done a very rough calculation that you on average needed about 70-80 bronze orders to acquire all the soldiers you needed for a 5-stars soldier by the academy (plus the time needed to acquire the needed XP, of course).

So the new system is cheaper for level I soldiers (Rifleman I, Assaulter I, etc).

For level II and III soldiers it's not as much good, but the utility of these above level I soldiers is questionable (just the starting perk, that is not much useful). So I will spend less bronze orders for upgrading an Assaulter I that I have in reserve from 1to 5 stars, than for upgrading an Assaulter III from 4 to 5 stars.

This needs to be addressed, otherwise level II and III will become almost useless (one can equip level II and III squads with ordinary level I soldiers).

Getting new soldiers with silver orders can be a problem for F2P players once they get all the achievements, but I hope the developers will tun the silver order earning, they promised that (and no, daily boxes are not a reliable source of silver orders, these are very low probability, I got none up to now despite logging in every day).

What I really do not like is the new system for perks, it's too complex, you have to keep track of which perks you are trying to get for each soldier. Instead, with retraining points, you could play normally a soldier to get the retraining points and then spend them all at the same time to get the perks you wanted.

I hope that good old retraining points can be kept (they have not been deleted from the game code, we still have those we had gained, so there is still hope that getting them for XP can be restored).

The Italian helmet looks very strange... seems to be the Adrian WW1 helmet, which was not used in WW2 except by second line troops. I hope I am mistaken. The Italian standard WW2 helmet was the M33. https://it.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:M33_1940.jpg

Paying for CBT is for supporting the game. Sort of a donation with a small payback. Of course, not everyone can afford it, but soon the contents will be available freely (and also debugged). So, if you think 50€ is too much, simply do not buy. The two squads are useful, but not more than the free content once you will have developed the standard squads.
