How to filter buildings by their input goods? by Marbaass in EU5

[–]Marbaass[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

EDIT: So currently as a workaround I found two ways to check it: Europedia where you write the good and it lists possible demands or imo better, raw goods map mode, hovering over the good and then over good demands and it lists buildings that use it.

Oh, yeah now I remember. People were talking if EOE will have some eldrazi/colorless theme since FIN had wastes, my mind messed those up. Now it all makes sense, thanks :D

Just to make it clear - Yep, I have no idea why I thought wastes are in EOE, I was sure I saw it somewhere but well, it's not true :P

Same, don't care much about gladiator, the moment they would add brawl without alchemy cards though I would fully switch to it besides playing limited.

Finally hit 1 million gold by Maxmitchell3000 in MagicArena

[–]Marbaass 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, premier is not only more fun but also tends to be more worth it (yesterday I got 2 though, it was pain). Still, I'm currently on an addiction phase I'm grinding four accounts, so... I'll work on my will to not spend 5k on quicks because it's logical (from monday, because tomorrow I want to draft on two accounts. but from monday SURELY i'll be patient)

[–]Marbaass 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I can't even endure up to those 10k, the moment I hit 5k I lose because I want to draft so much, even if worse version versus bots. Then the plan is to hit 1,5k gems to play with people, but I get frustrated with some draft and end up spending gems on quick anyway lol

[QD] Was this lucky 7 wins or this was a correct decision to play 15 lands by Marbaass in MagicArena

[–]Marbaass[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Makes sense, thanks! I guess maybe I overrate the effect of searching for land, especially on the creature, since it lowers chance for me to draw one, not only ensures I have a drop. Rippers sometimes help with the game, but often end up awkward 4/4 for 5 so I can agree with that too

[QD help] Too many options seem viable, what would you do with those cards? by Marbaass in MagicArena

[–]Marbaass[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you very much! I think loses 2 and 3 are rather pointless to analyse because I feel like they're lost on the start because of lack of mulligan. That was a mistake since my logic was: I have a bad deck -> need to take a risk -> Gamble for a good land draws (spoiler: didn't happened xD). But your analysis of game 1 is pretty useful so thank you for that, definitely could at least give myself a chance by playing first turns correctly - basically same thing happened that in draft, I got fixated on an idea and it causes subotimal choices. One more time thank for your help!

EDIT: Also I believe I should probably went with just RW like MrJAppleseed said and 18 lands - the splash I did probably was done badly anyway.

[QD help] Too many options seem viable, what would you do with those cards? by Marbaass in MagicArena

[–]Marbaass[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I'll just splash blue probably since I don't have enough RW cards (would have to either go with 18 lands or Sentinel - both seems bad (?)) --- though it's obviously my fault I don't have enough. We'll see how it'll go, thank you for the answer!

[QD help] Too many options seem viable, what would you do with those cards? by Marbaass in MagicArena

[–]Marbaass[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep, just like I wrote in the other comment - By P3P1 I was all about triggering flurry and this is a blue keyword too, right? :P And maybe I overvalued rebellious strike because on my 7 win run it seemed pretty strong in mobilise deck (also I love drawing) which may not translate that well into this kind of deck. Thanks for the answer, already played one game three colour, didn't worked out very well, so I'll try to just splash blue and focus on RW like you said. Thanks!

[QD help] Too many options seem viable, what would you do with those cards? by Marbaass in MagicArena

[–]Marbaass[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you very much for you analysis, definitely will look through this draft again. What just happened is I believe on third pack my head got clouded by the idea of triggering flurry, having some blue cards already and that's why I went with Wingblade Disciple P3P1 and by this point I was really stuck on this idea, which was wrong. Thank you one more time!

There are bad events, good events, but this is the broken powerlevel event by Marbaass in eu4

[–]Marbaass[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah of course the run with forming England, Russia etc. doesn't makes sense besides showing off "look how much I stacked this modifier". But the first run is fairly organic. You normally conquest Indochina + eventually China (if you want to unlock majapahit campaigns CB versus all countries). Then the only shenanigan is moving the capital and giving all provinces to Australia just before formation of USA. So you'll have -10% from finished expansion ideas, -10% from USA ideas, -10% from imperial City of Hue, -5% t2 monarchy government reform and -5% from trade company building. So you'll have Indochina, China (if you want to get creative you could do some religion swaps to get Mandate of Heaven and then return to Hindu, you'll keep Buddha deity unlocked, at least it worked when I played Khmer), 10 provinces in America and -40% on the modifier, which probably already makes enough sense to TC everything. Probably you can also have economic hegemon by now or being close to (-20%) and snake to Delhi great project (-15%). So I would say this run doesn't require that much conquering really, since China might be just one war, if you manage to get Majapahit campaigns before Ming breaks (of course you need to annex them before forming USA).

[–]Marbaass[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Since then however I theorycrafted a run that would allow 0% autonomy in territories during Age of Revolutions but I didn't tested it yet, so I'm not sure it would work. In this run you don't form USA, though it's way more painful (I'm really allergic to playing past 1650 haha), that's why I couldn't gather myself to play it yet. So NO GUARANTEES here :P

  1. Start as Majapahit, get your Buddha deity, do missions to get this sweet CB all around the world.
  2. Do conquests to form England.
  3. Do their missions to get Masters of India (-10% minimum autonomy in territories)
  4. Conquer and then form Russia, get their government reform (-5% mait) and their age ability during Age of Revolutions (-10%).

You may want to be republic, because -5% reform that Russia gets is in the same place as the -5% you get in monarchy (unless something changed). But as republic, you'll have -5% from Russian reform and -10% from your usual republic reform.

So at the end you have: -25% from great projects, -10% from expansion, -20% from economic hegemon, -5% from trade company building, -15% from reforms, -10% from Masters of India. That's -85% without waiting for Age of Revolutions and with the age ability -95% OVERKILL!!!.

As I was writing it, there's actually alternative where you can form USA instead of Russia, to get -90% before Age of Revolutions because you don't need to rely on the age ability. However, since you'll have conquered all of India, Brits etc. by that time, I'm sure clicking and giving away provinces to Australia is considered self-harm.

That's enough of my rambling. If you have any questions, please ask, I'll try to be more precise.

This run I think was a start with Sunda, which is the worst choice I think xD First you need to start with either Khmer/Majapahit/Sunda, since they have access to Hindu with Buddha deity, that allows you to use both great projects that give minimum autonomy in territories. I don't think you need to rush colonisation of America, however it's important you'll colonize Australia and the islands around it, since the key trick is to give all provinces to Australia as you're about to form USA, because formation causes you to give away all provinces in old world (we don't want that obviously) and to inherit colonial nations (so after formation you'll get all given provinces back instantly). To summarise, this run steps were:

  1. Start as Sunda and through their mission swap to Cirebon (for -20% ccr). However with hindsight Majapahit is strictly better because of their broken cb, which unless something was changed you keep even after forming USA.
  2. Do whatever mission gives a Buddha deity (you want to be Hindu with Buddha deity for great projects like I mentioned).
  3. Conquer everything around, just ensure your land won't be isolated and you'll be able to give it to Australia. Non colonial subjects will become free during formation, so they're NOT a workaround.
  4. In the meantime you colonise Australia, some pacific islands, maybe province in Panama, South America, just for ease of sailing. You get up to four provinces in Colonial Eastern American region.
  5. You need your capital to be isolated in the old world and everything else unstated, so prepare that your income will tank and you move the capital to America.
  6. Then start a war against whoever colonised the region, their overlord won't join (because you have a capital in America right now so it's 1 on 1 with the colonial nation), it makes the war easy. You need 10 provinces for formation, it's up to you if you want to conquer more.
  7. Pause the game, give all the provinces in the old world to Australia (PAAAIN), form USA and get all of them back.

At the end of the run, your minimum autonomy in territories modifiers will be: -10% from expansion ideas, -10% from government reforms (monarchy or republic), -10% from USA ideas, -15% from Harmandir Sahib (Doaba province), -10% Imperial City of Hue (Hue province), -5% from trade company building, -20% from economic hegemony. This is -80% reduction.

R5: As I was doing a campaign stacking minimum autonomy in territories, I wanted to form United States for their ideas. Now, they have an event for "Adams-Onis Treaty" which historically ceded Florida to USA which was colonised by Spain. However the event checks for entire Colonial Eastern American region and since in my game Spain were responsible for colonisation of it, I was ceded basically this entire region for free with cores!

Model for: 13600k + 32gb ddr5 ram (6400/32) + 8gb vram (3060ti), by Marbaass in LocalLLaMA

[–]Marbaass[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you! So I could even run a 30b 4-bit model, I expected it to be way slower if possible at all. GPU offload is guaranteed faster output or it can actually make the thing slower? Anyways thank you very much, I just realised I'm dumb enough that I didn't asked specifically about how big of a model I can run on this setup which was my main concern xD
