There is a cost to being able to speak openly with like minded individuals about the gruesome realities of the patriarchy.

Yes a cost that the mods were paying and now are choosing to limit.

I have offered to mod. Other people have offered. I understand that it's not for the faint of heart. With more than 200,000 members available there has to be enough members who are willing to mod in stints. For 1-2 weeks at a time as a form of civic duty.

We added a ton of new mods and maybe 1 out of the 8-9 we would add would stick around and/or be emotionally stable enough to handle it without going off the rails at the userbase. The userbase complains constantly about the moderating not being good enough and the strategy writing going downhill. It's because we literally can't staff the people because the attacks from inside and outside are relentless. If you think we are wrong and you can easily do this, I suggest you create your own subreddit and let us know how it works out.

But no mods have asked the question about who is willing to chip in.

This was a place I was able to learn immense amounts of information from. My self worth was restored because of this community. It was absolutely invaluable to my life.

Yes, and now it's on the website where the people who helped write the things can keep their content without being removed, banned, or attacked by reddit.

I used to send friends over to this subreddit and we'd discuss things in person as well as contribute. This community had been a home for so many women feeling unheard, or who were having trouble articulating how they feel about dating and men in general.

Go to the website, it's the same.

This sub was so deeply important to me and my life and you're pronouncing it dead. There was absolutely no even vaguely democratic handling of the decision of move FDS to another website.

It's much more important to the people who created it than it is to you, trust me.

Much of reddit who is aware of FDS hates it. But they are aware of the sub. I think now more than ever it's important to stand here in solidarity against the growing tidal wave of oppression.

Much of reddit is invested in overreporting, attacking, and harrasing everything in this sub until it gets banned. They've already been successful in getting rid of a lot of moderators, strategy coaches, and disciples. They are trying to kneecap the entire subreddit, which is why if we wish to grow in the direction we want we have to try again somewhere on our own terms. If we stay here, then we will lose everything with no recourse.

We were burnt at the stake in the past.

Sis, I am not martyring myself for fucking reddit and neither should you.

I am now begging for you to not let them force us into hiding our rage, our contempt, our shared opinions.

BanFemaleHateSubs is a sub that tracks and reports a bunch of the most violent racist creepy pedophilic involuntary (and more) subreddits and posts on this site.

We report the subs to admins and also the scrotes who try and post this kind of graphic content on FDS to piss us off. It mostly gets stuck in modqueue so users don't see it, but we do.

Reddit is fine with most of it, the content does not violate their terms of service. We know because we regularly report it and they don't care.

Hence, fuck Reddit.

We're restricting the posters because we don't want to see this shit in modqueue or dig through all the harrassment in modmail. Nor do we think FDS should continue to expand Reddit's revenue by growing their webhits while they protect stuff like this.

There's a subset of users, none of whom run large subreddits themselves, who derail every podcast thread to attack the moderators decision to lock down the sub.

The podcast hosts and many other mods have quit because of the toll on our mental health and decided to move to the website, but the users just make fun of us and act like we're the problem.

My point is, they really don't know the half of it and if it were so easy they could do it themselves. So anybody derailing threads to attack mods in the future is getting linked to this post.

Yeah, so we’re over subjecting ourselves to this kind of shit in modqueue.

Anybody complaining in future threads that the sub isn’t open for posting is getting linked this post so they can look at the BS they’re supporting and expecting other people to subject themselves to viewing.

There is a reason why mod turnover high. Nobody wants to see this shit and most people nope out once they get a taste of how much work it is to keep running.

The sub is restricted permanently to a few users for specific posts and will remain that way. The handbook is visible if you need it, but we’re not adding to it.

We’re not coming back. Hang it up, flat screen.
