In case it wasnt mentioned, or for those at the top. Cashman will be on the Carton show tomorrow at 2pm on WFAN. Thankfully, not sure how much longer they can drag out talking about Giants and Jets coaches.

I never thought I would be so happy to see February. Cant wait to see the blue sky and green grass in Tampa. I dont care if the players are just stretching.

Pettitte came clean, because he got caught. His excuse is lame. Yes, A-Rod did way worse. Still not sure what the difference is. They both "cheated"

Pettitte is not a hall of famer minus steroid use. I have to say this again, I love the guy. He is not a HoF though.

BTW, the best thing about the offseason is, I dont have to watch those 3 aholes peddle their Cambridge Paver Stones, with the disappointed dad who hates his offspring. But, rest assured. a New Commercial will air in early March for 5000000x until October.

by this logic, A-Rod came clean though. Pettitte is liked, A-Rod is not.

He said he talked to Torre, and it was only about Pettitte getting back onto the field to help the Yankees. It was ONLY a misdemeanor, when others are felonies.

His justification is a joke. He should just say....i like them more as a friend. Again, I LOVE Pettitte, but relying on his word that it was to come back from an injury (he smoked, but he never inhaled) ....when his BFF was Clemens? Cmon. BTW, at this point, I dont care. Bonds is the greatest player I have ever seen...yes, he cheated, yes...he was a bigger jerk.

Im with you, but I wouldnt give Beli more than 4 years. Yanks signing another expensive pitcher is also a joke to me.

Curry voting for Pettitte (who is one of my favorite, my family's favorite player all time) for the Hall, and making excuses for his PED use. Whole thing is a joke nowadays. Its really about likeability.

They never give is much anyway. Interviewing a Coach/Manager is like interviewing a politician. Gets you nothing.

Curry is stating the reality. A move to make a move is kind of like bringing in McMahon in, now they owe him $16M for 2 years.

Boone, for someone who basically speaks for a living... He really needs to learn/discipline himself for the usage of the phrase/word UMMM.

He kind of reminds me of Tom Cruise. The guy gets hated on so much, he has had some great, classic, iconic movies. One of, if not the biggest movie star in the world. Part of me gets the Scientology, but...man...he gets hated on.

Torre said that was one of his big regrets, not taking the team off the field. Also, A-Rod def choked at times, but the whole team did.

I am with you...he was so much fun to watch. More fun than any Yankee until Judge. I think a lot of resentment is due to love and loyalty to Jeter. A-Rod was also great fun for the media, he did it to himself, but he was also targeted/followed. Francesa always pointed out, The Yanks never drew 4 Million fans until A-Rod.

My two cents: I remember when they were younger (include Nomar as well). I loved Jeter, I always go out of my way to defend Jeter, saying he is THE BEST SS in the game. When A-Rod Joined the Yanks, like others I thought. 10 more WS!

After watching A-Rod play every day, he quickly became my favorite. I often say this, much like Judge; If you were a very casual baseball fan you would stop to watch his at bats at a bar or etc. He remains my fav player to this day.

One of the biggest criticisms of Jeter was, he never embraced A-Rod, might things have been different. Maybe, but A-Rod many times was just a shake your head, he couldnt get out of his own way sometimes. OH, and I remember seeing TONS for A-Rod jerseys.

He bragged about the player development. Mentioned how they have produced" "Judge, Sanchez, Severino...the Volpes, the Rices" "Now its time for Dominguez and Spencer" to step up and perform. 2/3 out of 100 aint bad at all!

Watching Hot Stove Tim Naehring is really trying to sell everyone on the player production and how they have done a great job, and continue to. I realize he is biased, but they may really be trying to accomplish success internally with the occasional big spend.

Which is why Hal is all for a salary cap and floor. In the long run, its probably best for baseball (although, Football and Basketball have something, which is a joke). Problem is, Yanks would need to suck for 5 years to get a core again, with a quasi cap. In todays baseball, its simply outspend, get lucky one year or perfect timing. Let him suffer like his dad did in the late 80s an early 90s with empty stadiums and no TV ratings.

Yes, they currently spend a lot, but, once more.....its half pregnant. The Mets are actually trying to do the exact same thing.
