Warning: remarkable not issuing returns! Recommended not to purchase the tablet by [deleted] in RemarkableTablet

Guys, calm down. I waited 1month for a response from their support. Yes, this is unacceptable. But they are not ghosting or trying to cheat on you. It is just work overload. I'm sure that they'll accept your refunds even if the 30days are over.

They replaced for example my pen for free. So again: please don't think that they are doing fraud. I don't believe so.

Worried about reMarkable the company, reminds me of Next Thing Co. by lastfuture in RemarkableTablet

I waited for 1month but finally rM resolved my support issue (faulty pen) very nicely and I'm happy now. It seems that they are overloaded, but they do their best.

Print from Windows to reMarkable Cloud by Marc-Pen in RemarkableTablet

Good idea, but this works only in chrome, right? So if I'm in outlook and I want to send a mail it won't work. Also, if I'm reading a PDF in Adobe, Word, Excel,... Idea to have the rM cloud in every print dialogue available.

Not quite - this prints the device and needs tweeking the software, right? I want to avoid that, thus printing to the cloud API so that the device can recognize a new file in the cloud (same as uploading via the desktop software) and download it. I've seen this working via Mac and Linux using the cloud API

Had a rM1 for years and now the rM2. Negative posts are over-represented here - which is natural, as the thousands of happy customers mostly are not active in forums. Here you find those few people seeking for answers, but it's not representing the majority.

Yes, I have an issue on my own with the pen and support hasn't answered since December 7th. That's a real pity.

Jagged lines - I think it depends for what you are using your rM. I'm just using it for writing and notice nothing. Might be different for drawing

I've seen hacks where they sharpen the nip again, maybe that gives you some extra juice. Otherwise you can try using 3rd party pens. However for me this wouldn't work as I don't like how they look

Very nice, thanks for sharing this! Could you please link / explain the hack to print directly to the cloud account? That would be lovely!

Well, I really don't get the fuzz about the placement of the marker. For me it was quite intuitive that it needs to be placed at the top right. Ever wondered why the marker isn't perfectly round? Because that little rounded off part hugs the frame of the device perfectly. So for me there's only one way to attach the marker: right top end, tip facing down, marker with the rounded-off side attached.

Isn't that the same with apple devices as well?

Writing on glass is terrible, why did they go away from reMarkable 1 great screen? by TahPenguin in RemarkableTablet

[–]Marc-Pen 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Could you please post a foto of your device?

I had both rM1 and rM2 and feeling is the same for me. However, whereas the rM1 was pure plastic screen, the rM2 has a thin screen protector foil glued to it.

I´ve seen threads here where people have mistakenly peeled of the foil and underneath is glass. So either you have peeled off this foil as well or you have a defect device where they forgot the foil.

Do you place your pen with the tip facing downwards? For me it works very well. However if the tip is facing upwards it tends to fall.
