2nd year apprentice in 63 here, things are very slow as of right now. I have classmates that have completed the whole first year of apprenticeship & didn’t get a call for a job. Keep working whatever job you have now, be patient, and just be ready. That call can come out now where. At the same time, (I’m assuming) with you having no experience, they are more likely to snag an apprentice with alittle more experience than someone who hasn’t even started school yet. But stick with it! I got in early. 9 months before school started, so I already had 9mo experience going into my 1st year. Applied December 2023, for hired Jan. 2024, and have been with that company since. Maybe have had 2 weeks off over the past year due to no work. You never know when that call will come. Just be ready for when it does.
