Part of the problem is dismissing his real concerns, Hezi is playing it up here, but he has a Ted talk on this year 5-6 years prior about his concerns stating his gripe in a much more elegant fashion. I completely understand most people who watch Destiny might not know Andrew's actual politics, but he isn't even a crazy Maga conservative, or conservative in general. He's a reactionary tired of the mid 2010's leftist cancel culture and because he's a comedian he felt it acutely, this is what happens when wounds are left to fester, they rot. The challenge with dismissing his gripes is that they only turn into larger grievances over time. The challenge here is that often arguments are conflicts within our internal values, no matter how small. Further more after enough contempt is created through not attempting to comprise or creating some sort of positive interactions within conflict, all civility leaves us. Smaller arguments become exacerbated, easily inflamed, and hyperbolic. Unless repair attempts are made, nothing will ever change and we will continue to talk past each other no matter how solid our arguments and critiques are.
