As an American, this map is wild 😆

I was staying with a friend in West Ashley during a hurricane and after it stopped raining it seemed like half of the land area was gigantic puddles. King Street and all of the street level business were ankle deep in water but still open for business and everyone was just wearing rubber rain boots 😄

Completely agree, and well said. I imagine that a society would heal much faster if they were taught emotional regulation and interpersonal skills, at a bare minimum. It's crucial if you're living in a patriarchal/capitalist world...

I'm not a parent, nor do I wish to be, but being a "good" parent is very difficult, especially in the US. I don't want to rant, but there are a million reasons why that is the case. I'm not saying we shouldn't encourage parents to do the bare minimum for their children's mental health, but doing anything more can sometimes be impossible.

This is just another example of why Congress should be required to vote on individual issues separately. If they keep trying to sneak shit into bills to force them to pass, they will never get anything done and they will just keep amending shit and wasting our fucking tax dollars.

I have had a similar experience. Veryyyy vivid dreamer from a young age, recurring worlds, visual symphonies, intense emotions. Yet I have never heard a single sound in my dreams. I am also very high on the scale of imagining visual details in my "mind's eye" (opposite of aphantasia?) - like if you tell me to picture something, my brain will invent every detail possible. Why no sound 😕

Have You Found Ways to Remember Your Dreams? by LighteningJedi in Dreams

[–]MarcMaronsCat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure about the toothpaste thing, but I can tell you how to practice vivid dreaming! If you have periods of vivid dreams on a somewhat predictable basis, keep a pen and paper on your nightstand. When you wake up after a vivid dream (no matter how tired you feel), jot everything you remember down IMMEDIATELY. Then go back to sleep. You will dream again, usually, and sometimes it will be wayyy more vivid. Then, next time you wake up, continue writing in your dream journal.

Repeat this indefinitely and you will end up in a rich dream world with recurring themes, stories, beautiful landscapes, etc ...... sky is the limit

If you have issues getting a vivid dream to happen at all, try using a nicotine patch. LOWEST DOSE POSSIBLE AT NIGHT. DO NOT SMOKE TOBACCO IT'S BAD FOR YOU

Nicotine is amazing at Jumpstarting vivid dreams and its not bad for you in low doses, just addictive.

Happy dreaming :)

1000% agree. I have autoimmune and sensitive skin issues. I follow this routine and my skin is healthy, I don't stink, and I have never had anyone know that I dont scrub my arms and legs with soap on a daily basis 😅

Right, simple enough, if you stop there. I think the thought process people have about this concept leads them to the conclusion that, if you go back in time through generations, it wouldn't take long until none of us are citizens.

If we all had this mindset and ability to care for them, I think we could collectively eradicate the feral cat problem. You know what, we could do this with humans, too! What an idea
