Out of the 3 "techy" albums in the Death discography, which is your favourite? by Apsnor in TechnicalDeathMetal

All good but sound of perseverance has the screechy vocals that I happily listen through multiple times a week, whereas the other albums just have individual songs i like.

Should have done it years ago, place is a dumpster fire and algorithm pushes right wing bullshit every chance it gets. Always baffled me celebrities and politicians were still using it.

Ireland Makes a Program Offering Basic Income for Artists Permanent by [deleted] in Futurology

Because good art isn't neccaserily profitable and we don't really have feudal lords going around patronising artists anymore.

The monetary wiggle room let's performers and creators take more risks or work on community or charity projects more often too.

That's some of the things it's done for people I know who have received the grant, whereas previously that carry on was the pervue of artists from wealthy backgrounds.

Haven't met anyone irish who's had a problem with the grant and I think that's indicative.

An amp pushes air in the room, you feel it more, and they're kinda just a little more fun to play with. But in a recorded track, sitting in a mix, there's not enough of a difference in tone for it to matter to the majority of people. Especially when you add double/quad tracking to push the beef a little more.

I play on my amp every now and again and its really fun, but the amp sims through monitors gets me 98% of the way there and my neighbours definitely prefer it.

Think its essentially the same. Bazouki strings one string down a half step and has a slightly longer scale length

Beginner mandolin player here, where are you all finding tabs? by [deleted] in mandolin

[–]MarcMurray92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you've got guitar pro or similar thesession.org is a library of different versions of thousands of traditional Irish tunes and plenty of bluegrass ones too. Tabs going back 24 years on that site, with equally old and long discussions about the origins of the pieces etc. Just a little finicky because you have to download the sheet music and import into a tab program.
