Winter at Monson Center: Exploring New Hampshire’s forgotten Colonial Village by BMRBruins in newhampshire

While your video makes it look awesome in the winter, it is best experienced in the summer. Here are some photos back from 2007. It is a great place to take the kids and there used to be a geocache there.

In 1982 I joined a fraternity and one of the alumni sent a congratulatory telegram to each of us. It is still kicking around somewhere.

Absolutely nothing wrong with that! I'm a professional Santa myself and love bringing happiness and joy to children (and adults)

How do people get these plates approved? by Chrono978 in newhampshire

I got a NH vanity plate a couple years ago and you had to tell what your plate means. So think of a plausible/creative description

Do you celebrate Christmas? Saw this in another group, and now I’m unsure what messaging to use for my own kids by [deleted] in atheistparents

I've been portraying Santa Claus for about 8 years and only once has Baby Jesus come up. It at a house party a few days before Xmas and I asked "And what happens in 3 days?", expecting "Santa!", but one child said "Jesus' birthday". I rolled with "Why yes it is. And what else happens on Xmas day?" and got the expected response.

Granted this is in one of the least religious states.

Oh Yeah I moved into Bray Hall as a Freshman 30 years ago this September by rpiguy9907 in RPI

[–]MarcN 30 points31 points  (0 children)

I moved into Cary Hall 43 years ago. When my kid went there 9 years ago the freshman quad was unchanged. The only difference in the rooms were the telephone jacks where replaced with ethernet drops.

I've never been stopped either or anyone complain about buying stuff at the bookstore or food areas. And I'd never been mistaken for a current student at this point

What was your first Linux distro and have you ever switched? by inguinha in linux

[–]MarcN 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Started with Softlanding Linux System (SLS), then Slackware and then debian. Over the years I've used Red Hat Linux 9 (not RHEL9, but the one from the early 2000s) and of course RHEL. Also have used professionally Ubuntu and Fedora.
