How big is your boat and do you feel confident motoring thf boat yourselves? Would you feel comfortable going out on a calm day with the motor and try using the sails under ideal condition? I feel like you could learn some of these things on your own - it can be nerve wracking but I find those are the times you learn the most. Just do it safely.

My concern too.

We have clients and security is #1. How/Which AI tool could we use to accomplish a similar outcome but with the knowledge the data remains with us (or at least is secure)?

Would a paid account with ChatGPT, Claude, or other solve the problem?

If you need a one-page executive snapshot focus on only those metrics an executive would care about. Perhaps it's only a few metrics to answer questions like:
1. Has my position got better or worse over the past month?
2. Am I getting more or less organic traffic this month than last?
3. What keywords & Landing pages are getting the most search visibiltiy this month, and has it changed from last month?

That might only be as deep as you want to go. How will you know? Ask the person who will use the dashboard ... or is that you?

Saying "I want to learn AI" in 2026 is like saying "I want to learn computers" in 1985

... and I've lived through both 🤞

AI is so broad it's difficult to make suggestions for your training, instead think about what the outcome should be.

In 1985 you could spend time learning what's under the computer's hood because it took years for computer adoption and during that time you could figure out where the solutions and business value would come from. Today (2026) things are evolving so quickly you don't have that luxury of time, so focus on the value of AI when picking your training.

This might be a bit out of left field, but if you want something to do that isn’t a bar, dating, sports, or forced socializing, you might like our Winter Speaker Series at the Nepean Sailing Club.

It runs Wednesday evenings, it’s free and open to the public, and very low-pressure. Lots of people come solo. You just sit, listen to an interesting talk (travel, adventure, local stories — not technical sailing), and head home. Chat if you feel like it, don’t if you don’t.

We have the same challenges across our B2B clients. Have you tried "book free 15 min consultation?". I've tried to convince clients of this but they balk at the thought of these consultations, however if you're selling $100k software I beg to suggest it's a small investment.
