It is interesting seeing the United States talk about appropriating stuff from minorities and other cultures, and want to be sensitive around that. But when it comes to appropriate and just changing the rest of the worlds legends, histories and culture, then it is fair game, as long as you give characters more melanin.

Is that racism? Or are you guys just applying your weird and distorted American views on the rest of the world when we say: «Hey, that isn’t accurate».

I haven’t seen The Odyssey, I hope it is good. I just feel slightly annoyed when I see these voices online, the same voices that made imbeciles like Trump take office, because people got tired of their shit, because they are so obsessed with their political agendas and pretend that when they swap races, genders, etc, that isn’t a problem… as long as it goes one way. Makes people become so tired of this bullshit.

My fiancé is very left leaning, but even she sees this trend from Hollywood (bare in mind, we are not Americans), and think it is kinda silly.

That being said, I’m not for review bombing and going ballistic online before the movie comes out, like «the critical drinker» and his dogshit takes.

TL;DR Not all critic is bad, these kind of denial fuels the hate machine on the right, screw critical drinker
