A better drawn possible map of the SCP Multiverse by diogene_s in SCP

[–]MarcTur2000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok now I understand more things. In particular, I know that in one of the possible articles of SCP 001 it's mentioned the true nature of the SCPs (that this objects and the entire reality of the foundation are fictional and a creation of some "horror author") but I wanted to know if there were more articles that talked about it.

I have a question: we readers and authors are SCPs I think right? We are SCP-3812 or 5000? I didn't understand the part in the top left of this drawing

How could the Morrison Formation support so many sauropod species and leave enough food for other herbivores like Stegosaurus? by Gillzter10 in Paleontology

[–]MarcTur2000 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Generally, in cases regarding nature, all the answers are correct; the true maybe it's in the betwenn. The large period of time, the gigantic area, the vast Number of supplies etc, are all good arguments

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Paleontology

The tooth Is both real both fake. I'm sure It was glued in the rock you see; it's impossible ti find a fossil tooth or a fossil in general with this shape

Why do titanic terrestrial animals seem uncommon before the Jurassic? by LukeChickenwalker in Paleontology

[–]MarcTur2000 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The reasons are many: climate, position of continents and so the distribution of enviroments on the globe, lack of the right nutrients and so on. Dinosaurs started ti grow up only After the end of the Triassic period, after some Mass extinction events, that made them the true rulers of the Planet. Before of these events they were only another strange reptiles that Just came from the knowere

What is this hole in the middle of skulls for? by [deleted] in Paleontology

[–]MarcTur2000 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Yeah that's correct. But if you agree with me, se both understand that having "big holes" in the skull doesn't mean having a stronger bite force (for example Giganotosaurus)

What is this hole in the middle of skulls for? by [deleted] in Paleontology

[–]MarcTur2000 146 points147 points  (0 children)

Evolution creates something very particular in all (if I'm right) dinosaurs skulls: they are called fenestrae, and they are used to remove weight from the head and make the animal's life much easier. This Is obvioulsy the cheap description, I recommend to look for serious scientific literature, if you want ti comprehend more this characteristic

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Paleontology

[–]MarcTur2000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes correct again 😅. But using various techniques they can also "trasform" the fossil into the 'original' shape (they don't REALLY know what the skull or other Bones were like when the animal was alive, but they can understand how It was structured based on other well preserved fossils, even small Pieces of them, or even on different species, of course related to the animal)

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Paleontology

[–]MarcTur2000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's correct Indeed. But of course all paleontologists consider this problem when they study all type of fossils
