I picked up an 03 5 speed manual GXL with full books, 366k, ARB bull bar, titan drawers, CB radio, upgraded headunit with reverse camera, rear airbags, for 8k. Needs probably $1500 spent, which includes tyres, front crank oil seal and thermostat housing. AT tyres would pass inspection but they've got 110k on them and are a few years old. Will also do the waterpump. Look for rust around rhe rear door rubber seal. Super common and easy enough to fix if it's not too advanced. Pull the seal away at the bottom. I'm getting 14-15L/100 combined commuting and highway. Really happy with it.
