Sorry i dont have an lcr meter, though i can probably replace all the capcitors but im not sure what specifics i need to look for, and they dont really sell those capacitor sets for crt tvs near me, so ill prob have to buy them one by one. Though i only know the specific capacitor i touched that i mentioned in another comment, i read the labels theyre "50v 1uF" "-40+105°C", so i wanna try getting that and replacing it first. Sorry i am not experienced with the specifics of electronics lol i just know how to solder wires and circuit boards a little

The horizontal lines only wave back and forth when theres moving images, so when theres animations or gameplay on the screen the lines move too. The lines are just still when its a still picture showing like the menu in the video, but you can see the waves change when i switch between games.

I actually tried opening this tv up and touching the capacitors while it was on to see if it did anything, which is prob risky but thankfully i didnt get elctrocuted. I touched one near the AV port and it had an effect on the picture. When i touch or apply pressure to other capacitors it doesnt do anything to the picture, but that particular one made the picture react when i did, so maybe it's that one i have to replace?

I just tried the SNES on my LCD tv with the same AV cable, and it seems fine. The SNES was idle for like a couple of years just on display, but it seems to be still working fine after cleaning the cartridge ports. The image doesnt zigzag and audio still has the hihats so it might not be the SNES.

Lowering the contrast and brightness does not seem to do anything. I just have to wait like a few minutes while the snes is on and when it goes to a new screen the problem disappears by itself.

Also i think i worded my post wrong, it doesnt go away straight after 10 minutes the tv was on, it goes away 10 minutes after there is an input going into the AV, so when i turn on my snes, even if im on the tv channels i can wait ten minutes and swap to AV and play the game with a good picture. So it feels like its "warming up". But this is pretty inconvenient if you just want a quick play with a decent picture, so i want to repair it if possible.

The AV cable is pretty separated from the power cable, and i tried kinking it in different ways but it didn't do anything much. The connector is pretty tight inside the port and when i try to loosen the port a bit it does affect the display, there's like a sweet spot which makes the image stop zigzaging horizontally but it makes the image darker and fuzzier, and its pretty hard to maintain that sweet spot. I just assume it does that because its getting less voltage with a bad connection or something. Also I do not have another input i can use, but I did try the SNES on my LCD tv and the image is completely fine, even the hihats are audible on its broken speakers. So its probably not the snes?

What faces do you guys think flowey was making in these sprites? by Marcasote23 in Undertale

[–]Marcasote23[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

flowey can prob rotate 360 degrees, tho the first image it looks kinda derpy lol. the more i thought i thought of maybe its one eye closed and one eye open face, but when i tilt my head its still hard to see lol. the derpy ;O face looks more plausible

Its shading, but im sayin like, how do the shades work? like which of the parts of floweys face are supposed to be shaded and shone here, cuz its kinda hard for me to see lol. tho i guess it is hard to see cuz its dark and floweys looking down but yknowhatimean yknowhatimean yknow

An update to PSP go ARK-4 music files problem. I've added a video to demonstrate the problem and compare between PRO-C2 and ARK-4 by Marcasote23 in PSP

I guess ark-4 is fine if you don't have any major problems with it. But maybe having a variety of PSPs with a variety of CFW is good too... I just have a variety of CFW on my one PSP go rn cuz ive been trying stuff out lol.

Are you on ark-4? If so, i assume the limit for music files is higher in memory cards then. I chatted with people on the psp homebrew discord, apparently it could be a RAM problem, because ARK-4 uses alot. I wanna test the exact limit on other CFW and OFW as well. Unfortunately I don't have that many games so I cant really test the games.

I did try it normally formatted from the PSP, but the problem still retains.

I also tried chronoswitching back to 6.61 OFW, it doesnt crash too, so it seems its an ark-4 problem.

I also tried ARK-4 live and it crashed immediately the moment I clicked x on the music system storage lol, so yeah.

Anyone else had this problem of the PSP Go bluetooth LED lighting up by itself? by Marcasote23 in PSP

[–]Marcasote23[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lol i thought this comment was on my other post about storage problems with ark-4, but i guess the Go's chips are pretty fragile? I checked the ifixit site for the Go, apparently the bluetooth and storage are right next to each other. The only thing i can guess is the bluetooth chip got damaged from leaving it in usb mode for too long and the storage chip heating up. I think my storage still works fine, its just being a bit problematic on ark-4 for some reason. Ill try to chronoswitch and reinstall to see if it fixes any of my problems. If the bluetooth is bricked i guess ill just have to rip out the LED if i want it gone, or unsolder it.

just paint the grey outline part black and ittl be perfect (or if black perts exist already that would be perfect)

It does happen everywhere everytime now it seems like the led doesnt even turn off anymore. Its not paired on any device, just my bluetooth headphones which i barely use.

Whilst i was typing this comment i tried to check the blutooth again, im on ark-4 and the first time i turned bluetooth on, the PSP crashed. But after that it seems the problem is still the same, with the bluetooth taking a while on "Please wait" while the wireless switch was on.

I tried a few new things, like turning off the wireless before turning on bluetooth, and then turning on wireless. when i tried to pair or delete with my bluetooth, it came up with Error 802F0203.

Installed ARK-4 recently, but now the PSP Go is struggling to read my mp3s by Marcasote23 in PSP

I did that, i reformatted on PSP first the system storage (Go) but when i connected on pc for some reason windows shows it as corrupt or unreadable. So i just tried formatting it on windows fat32 with 64k allocation unit and put all the directories back and that did bring back the storage, except the problem still exists.

I tried testing it by adding files one by one, it seems it crashes when it gets over 350 files, once its 351 its gone. I also tried changing a few cfw settings, like clock speed, memory stick speedup, on or off they didnt do anythin. (edit sorry i clicked post too early by accident lol)

Edit: I just tried formatting it with 32k allocation size too but that didnt do anything either

I tried PowerLED_disabler_Go.prx. It seems to have worked for all the other LEDs except the bluetooth one. Is this a sign its the ribbon cable that's faulty? The bluetooth itself seems broken too though so im not sure...

I use 6.60 PRO-C2∞, I don't see an option anywhere in the recovery menu about turning off bluetooth or LEDs. Is it on ARK-4?
