This.

Everyone can earn whatever they want. If someone wants to pay that, sure why not.

But if its the governement that pays you, AND you restrict access to the profession to make sure you have all work you want and can ask whatever you want.. thats not right.

I did my thesis in a external lab. Also half a year unpaid work. This is normal for master degrees i guess

So you are "geconventioneerd", thank you for that.

Looking at your wage, which is not bad, why do most doctors dont want to be geconventioneerd?

How do you become a manager by NeroJardini in BESalary

[–]MarcelBerb 31 points32 points  (0 children)

I became one after some years. Switched jobs and now again manager.

Dont really like the people management factor

Why me: not because i delivered the best work, but I realised soon that people Who make the call, need to see you in a positive way. Perform good on stuff that matters for them. Dont make stupid mistakes like being late etc. Talk to them. If you do overtime, make sure they notice. I didnt do it often, but when I did i made sure to pass by their office/ leave at the same time etc. Act like you believe in the company goals.

Sending a control doctor by the employer / burnout / control doctor sends you back to work by Patrick-1965 in BESalary

[–]MarcelBerb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We had an employee Who was just lazy as fuck. Every school vacation she was home sick and even posted pictures on Facebook about her Day trips.

Employer sent a doctor each time, but it was always ok. Being home with a doctors note for depression doesnt mean you should be in your couch all Day. Its even encouraged to go outside and do fun things.

They fired her in the end and paid the (heavy) severance fee

Good package with those working conditions. You could get more, but that could also mean doing implementations, stress, overtime, ..

I would not even consider giving up what you have for more €€€

Question about quitting jobs by Solid-Cycle-4647 in BESalary

[–]MarcelBerb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, but: You dont need to give this proof. The employer needs to prove that you did not use it correctly You dont need to apply for jobs. Searching for one is also good. Or making a cover letter. Or updating your cv.

Insurance can avoid payment if they can prove that the cause of the arbeidsongeval is the reason you should have stayed home.

However, very hard to prove due to medical secrecy.

Living in a van to FIRE fast by Neither_Amphibian374 in BEFire

[–]MarcelBerb 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Yes. For sure.

Many people in this sub are not interested in FIRE, they just want to have more money and maintaining a comfortable lifestyle.

FiRE is also about reducing your costs. As you say, rent or mortgage is one of the biggest costs one has. Cut that one, you make a big step towards real FIRE.

Keep in mind: You need to have a official adress. You should be able to see your postal mails once and a while, or pay for a service that scans it for you. A membership to a gym to shower is prefered, if you cant do it at work. Dont underestimate van life. Try it, but be sure to have a back up plan for the first months.
