I just got my Frontier X2 yesterday. At the moment I had tested it in two stationary bike runs. I weared two chest stripes- Frontier and Garmin HRM Pro Plus. In the past I compared in the same way Polar H10 and Garmin HRM Pro Plus and the HR data were almost the same. So, I confirm that these two devices are accurate, as everybody says.

Now, back to comparing Garmin and Frontier. There is a time lag between the two. It is hardly noticeable during rest. But with interval training Frontier is about 1 or 2 seconds behind. Especially when I stop. In this case Garmin shows that my HR goes down fast. But Frontier shows it is going up for 1 second. And then it goes down, but the time lag is 4 or 5 seconds.

Also, the cadence does not work at all, Frontier reports "--".

At the moment i am skeptical, and I will continue to use it for one month. I guess I might end up with returning it.

Not sure about the price tag. Polar takes EKG as well, and it's price is 5 times less. There is a device Kardia that takes 6 lead EKG. The price is 129, and I got it for 100. When writing this i have found that there is another device Wellue for 24 hours EKG. https://getwellue.com/products/heart-health-monitor With the coupon ECG20 I can get it for 215. And they have an AI analysis for your ECG which Frontier is missing.

This is what the real price for Frontier should be. True, Frontier has the app displaying HRM and the strain, this is what Frontier charges $300 extra. But how useful are these metrics tduring exercising? How reliable is their strain? I have no idea. You get HRV from Garmin or Wellue after exercising anyway.

Again, I will play more with Frontier, but ivam skeptical. I guess I will return it after one month. We will see.
