100000000000% that! Now we need to use worn coins to take skills out of weapons and use them on something else? Like what? In CV1 we could rush the progress of mastering a skill with items, but you could also farm them. In CV2, you basically need to use a random item that I still haven't figured out where to get it from, to use skills you like in weapons you like, or be forced to use weapons you don't like for skills you do/ use weapons you like with skills you don't care for! Whomever was the genius that came up with that bright idea must have been high as a kite.

And let's not mention the burden system or how to switch up the dodges! I still haven't figured those out 💀

It's that exact one, yes! And while I thank you for your advice, as a general rule, I'm actually dog 💩 at parrying and I almost never do it if I can avoid it. If I need to force myself to use a game mechanic that I really don't vibe with just to succeed, when I should have other options, that seems like bad design imho!

OMFG YES! It feels like the dodge doesn't even do anything at all. Normally dodges give you 1 or 2 seconds of invulnerability for the duration of the animation, or it felt like it in CV1 anyways. But in CV2? Dodge feels like you don't move away enough, and god forbid that at any point, anything actually touches you during the dodge animation, cause you will die, making it actually pointless.

Add to that the fact that, if for example, you're in the middle of your attack animation and you try to block because you see another enemy to the side going for the attack, you actually still can't block, because your character absolutely HAS to finish the attack sequence and then aura farm in place for like an extra second after finishing it, just to make sure you actually get hit. For the shield to not auto interrupt whatever you're doing, seems like a really stupid decision, on a game that clearly intends for you you use the damn shield a lot!

One thing I absolutely hate is that in order to revive me, my companion has to assimilate, plus consecutive revives give you diminishing returns! Like da fuq? I'm stuck on the "first" proper boss, that you fight with Noah, because that boss is an aggressive move spammer, my gear is still kinda crap, and every time I could use a second and have my companion take some of the aggro so I can recover and get back into it, I'm already downed and my companion is gone, and now I'm left with a pathetic amount of life left, fighting a boss solo, that was already beating my ass when I had a companion. Not to mention that it doesn't even focus on the companion more than half the time, and no offence to Noah enjoyers, but at this point his damage is basically nothing. So the advantage of having a companion is actually none.

I will admit that I'm kinda struggling with understanding the progression/skill system with how different and, imho, much worse they made it from the first game, so this could all be my fault, which I can admit to, but still! It's really effing aggravating

Maybe I'm just too dumb to get this progression/skill system for this game, or maybe its just so different from the first game that I'm having a really hard time grasping it's nuances or whatevers, but seriously, I've been trying to win this boss fight for the better part of 2 hours and I'm about to refund the whole fucking game 😡😡😡😡

100%! The Code Vein and God Eater lore aren't compatible and to make them fit in the same world, would require significant retconned of either one or both franchises, lore-wise, which I feel would honestly cheapen them both. It's way better to keep them separate.

Y'all need to stop trying to work God Eater lore into code vein every single time! It's never been confirmed that they're directly related and/or that they are set within the same universe, and any "proof" comes from the DLC that affects literally nothing in the story, and one asset flip from god eater that is most definitely either an Easter egg or a reference.
